  1. I'd say that I am not sure what you were trying to achieve with this comment.
  2. That is why I won't be upgrading or buying Affinity product again. This lack of communication about the upcoming update is a choice of a business model. I've bought V1 of designer beginning of November, to be clear.
  3. What here is incorrect exactly? This is a quote from the staff: "Recent iPad version sales aren't offered any specific offers as they are Apples customers and we have no access to those Store sales. We have been generous to recent Affinity store sales "
  4. But that is the information from these forums here: On reddit some users posted that they have received emails with additional offers for recent purchases, but only for the Serif store. So it seems that contrary to what you wrote customers have not been treated the same. As you wrote: it would be not fair, yet apparently this is what Serif did.
  5. Why would I stick with them? I don't expect charity, but there are many ways to run a business. I've used adobe in the past, and quit because I've found their way of doing business problematic. Same goes for serif. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect better treatment as a customer. I could provide the invoice from the apple store, for example, which states the date of purchase of the app. So I don't understand why that is the excuse here.
  6. Yes, it is about money to me. I've bought Designer V1 on Ipad from the Apple store a few days before the announced V2. Now according to the information on these forums, recent purchases from the Serif store will get a free upgrade to V2. Purchases through the Apple store won't. You might find this sort of policy ok, I find it problematic.
  7. I've bought Designer a week ago on the Ipad. Getting an email a few days later that I can "upgrade" by buying the new version, well... And I agree with the previous poster, Serif is alienating customers this way. I've been using Photo since 2020, but I won't be upgrading either. Adobe isn't the only alternative on the market anymore, so frankly between the two questionable pricing policies, my choice is neither.
