Technically, I never got any free updates at all. Nevermind for life. Maybe it's because I'm part of the cabal that's working to bring Affinity down?

I'm a new account. I came here and signed up to complain because I received an email from Affinity 2 days ago, telling me that the purchase that I just made for "lifetime" software was no longer being updated, etc. I assume a lot of other new users – who would otherwise have no incentive to come here – are in a similar boat. "Concerted attack" seems to be a rather more elaborate explanation.

Yeah - but I haven't had to erase them from the computer - so it just says "open".

I purchased the suite of applications for full price a few months ago. Not 7 years ago. And now I'm being told that they won't receive any updates or support, that files created on newer versions can't be opened, and that they'll forever be unavailable on the App Store where I bought them (in case I need to wipe a machine). And you're really surprised by the responses to this fleecing of customers?
