OK, here you go. In this case the original is a monochrome image which I want to tint to match a teal colour in a logo. I used HSL adjustment and 'eyeballed' the colour as best I could to match the logo colour, but I hope there is a way to select the teal colour (active as my Primary Colour) and have HSL automatically match it. That'd be a doddle in Photoshop ;0}

When I close an Affinity Photo file and choose 'don't save' there is a slight lag before anything happens. Not long, but this has a couple of times led to me thinking the action hasn't been triggered, and this has caused enough confusion that I have accidentally closed files that I *did* want to save. A couple of times I have lost a fair amount of work due to the lag getting me to close the wrong file. Anyone else getting this lag in not saving changes?

For my usage in the situation I'm working in (annotating a web page design where I want all the captions and notes the same size and style), I'd want the default. If I want a different size I can click and drag instead of clicking, and drag to select a different size. Makes sense to me, but I'm probably in a minority ;0)

I'm having the same issue. I create a text insert using Artistic Text Tool, set the font size and style to what I want as default, then Edit > Defaults > Synchronise from section and Edit > Defaults > Save, and it saves the default correctly if I click an insertion point, but if I then drag a text insert to a different size the default is lost. Any text insert I then create 'defaults' to the last dragged insert size. Odd. I've also tried the Text -> Text Styles -> Save Text Styles as Default approach to no avail. text-defaults.mov

In my case it was some text that I had rasterised. I then wanted to fill the text shape with a gradient, but when I select the gradient tool and set the colours it's filling the entire layer rather than just the rasterised shape on the layer. Is there a preserve alpha alpha control I am overlooking somewhere?

Interesting. I was having problems when selecting layers that if I clicked on the layer name it kept highlighting the layer name for editing instead of selecting the layer, so I may have inadvertently 'trained' myself into clicking on the icon to avoid this and thereby am triggering the zooming feature instead. Awkward. My muscle memory has also 'learned' to click on the icon because I've also been having issues with clicking on the layer name and trying to copy the layer kept resulting in pasting the *name* of the layer instead of the layer contents. I'll somehow have to learn how to select a layer without a) triggering zoom, or b) not copying the layer name. Tricky ;0)

As primarily a web designer often working on small graphics, I very much second this. Also, is there a way to disable auto-zooming when selecting layers in the layers palette? I constantly select one or more layers and have Affinity Photo automatically zoom in on the selection. Whilst I can see that this *might* be handy on some occasions, it seems to be very sensitive and I very often trigger it by accident which is a major pain. Is there a way to disable this, and if not, can I vote for to be added soon?

Is a there a facility to replace missing fonts in AF? I'm sure I've seen a reference to a Font Manager option which shows a list of the fonts used, those that are missing, and a drop-down for choosing a new font to replace missing ones, but I'm damned if I can find it now. I know there is an option in the Fonts palette to show missing fonts, but that doesn't permit changing them. And hunting through the file layer by layer to track down the one that's missing is slow and clumsy. Any suggestions?

Disable Anti-Aliasing when creating shapes
colindun replied to cmaymi's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
nearly three years later - is this available yet? Being able to have shapes without anti-aliasing would be great. The imprecise edges of shape against shape, and shape against photo is really getting me down. -
Adobe Bridge Alternatives
colindun replied to Shae Redding - Rogers's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
I had the same problem when ditching Adobe apps. I used iView Media (lately PhaseOne) for many, many years, but that went the way of all flesh when they decided not to reprogram for 64bit. For the last couple of years I've been using Adobe Bridge, but now use GraphicConverter. It's a bit . . rough around the edges, but in some ways it works better than Bridge and the fact that it has a lot (and I mean a *lot*) of image processing capabilities built into it is a plus, though it does tend to make it quite complicated. Still getting to grips with it myself. Another option is NeoFinder, which started primarily as an indexing app for CDs.], DVDs and external drives, but is now quite capable as a file management tool. -
Since switching away from Adobe apps, as well as Affinity Photo I use Graphicconverter as a replacement for Adobe Bridge, and NeoFinder for indexing storage media. However, although both GraphicConverter and NeoFinder can show previews of Affinity Photo files, they are currently unable to provide other file data due to the locked nature of Affinity’s file format. This is especially annoying with GC as it is unable to batch process Affinity Photo files - it can only use the previews. It would be a *great* aid to those of us who have moved over from Adobe apps to Affinity ones if Affinity’s file format would enable third-party apps to work better with them. Are there plans to do this, please? Pretty please with sugar on top?
