  1. To select the Zoomtool temporary I have to hit CMD + Space. In the actual beta it does not work when I hit CMD first otherwise it works.
  2. AP allows to set back the arrangement of panels to Studio. I would prefer to save my own workspaces and set back to their arrangements. Regards, Markus
  3. When I use the Picker in the Curves panel clicking near by a tonal never I have set a point before sets another point very close. It would be much bitter if clicking with the picker close to a tonal level that is already represented by a point on the levels curves affects that point than creating a new one.
  4. I find the Vibrance adjustment a little weak. Even at 100 % it is still a subtile adjustment. I can even double the adjustment layer but the result is looking a little strange.
  5. Setting the black und white points in curves is really hard especially the white point because it is far away from the bottom line oft the histogram. Photoshops triangle handles on the bottom make it easier. Also a good solution are the vertical lines in the levels panel. Best wishes Markus
  6. Sorry, this was wrong: “Trying the alt key in channel editing in curves the image is faded out to black/white but no warnings appear.” This is correct: Trying the alt key in channel editing in LEVELS the image is faded out to black/white but no warnings appear. I hope this is understandable. My relatively little english skills limits my descriptions.
  7. Great news finding clipping warnings in levels (though it would be nicer finding this feature in curves). Trying the alt key in channel editing in curves the image is faded out to black/white but no warnings appear.
  8. High end editing curves in AP needs to be improved by selecting curve points by key as also editing them by arrow keys.
  9. Great news. Great work. I am especially glad about clipping warnings but miss it in my most prefered tool: curves. I am looking forward to find it there.
  10. I found another wrong translation. In Layer Effects • Outline • Fill Style • Solid colour is translated as »Volltonfrabe« in the german version. Strictly speaking »Volltonfarbe« is the german term for spot colour (Pantone for example). It was done wrong in older versions of Adobe Apps too.
  11. Photoshop allows to fill with foreground colour by hitting alt+del, fill with background colour with cmd+del. I think all this features that Photoshop users find equal in AP will help feel them feel like home and make them switch.
  12. If you might be interested in my qualification: http://www.amazon.de/Markus-Wäger/e/B0045AOPPC/ref=dp_byline_cont_book_1 I do not want do bug you with a lot of feedback and suggestions just hope I can help make something good even better.
  13. This is just a suggestion for the german help descriptions. Destructive and non destructive editings are translated as »zerstörend« and »zerstörungsfrei«. Though the correct terms are »destruktiv« and »nicht-destruktiv«.
  14. Editing Colours in the Gradient Map panel needs to select the colour point and then clicking on the Colour field. I supposed editing Colours just by double clicking the round colour point on the gradient. I think this would be more intuitiv and more efficient.
  15. Photoshops Channel Mixer is a great to for B&W conversion. I wish the AP Channel Mixer would has a similar function. Apps like Capture One, ACR, Aperture and a lot more allows to set back values to 0 / default double clicking the value slider. Photoshop does the same in most dialogues and panels double clicking the value label. This is a very use full feature though the slider double click seems the better solution to me.
  16. Thanks for the clue. Though my suggestions was just a response about user experience. Just a suggestion to get so software more intuitiv.
  17. Is there something like hide selection (cmd + H in Photoshop) in AP?
  18. It was just my feedback about user experience. I am working on a german book about Affinity Photo and exploring the program in deep. I think it might be interesting for you to get feedback on my thoughts as a longtime Photoshop user and expert. No criticism. Your app is great.
  19. If I select two (or more) layers in the layers panel and chose Select • Select from Layer I suppose a selection from all Layers. Just a suggestion from user experience.
  20. Ok. I figured out: ctrl is to add a selection—like it stands on the bottom of the window. As a long time Photoshop user using the ctrl key is new to me. I am curious how you will do this on Windows. ;)
  21. In Photoshop I can enlarge respectively add to selections by holding the shift key, subtract by holding Option. I could not figure out how to do this in Affinity Photo. Do I really need to click on the buttons New, Add, Subtract and Intersect? Regards Markus
  22. Hi, I think pressing the esc key should work as Cancel while working with the Mesh Warp Tool. I also think pressing enter should apply the settings. Regards, Markus
  23. OK. That is great. Allows to add more than 4 or 6 measure points. Thanks.
  24. Hi, Affinity Photo is fast and smooth new software for image editing. It shines with retouching and filter layers but I sea a lot of weaknesses when it comes to high-end editing in tones, colours and curves. Things I miss: Black- and white point eye dropper in levels and curves (with option to sets its values as in Photoshop) WB / neutral grey eye dropper in levels and curves Side by side view for rgb and colour histograms in the histogram panel Shortcuts for selecting colour channels in levels and curves A shortcut to visualize blown out shadows and highlights in levels and curves like option click on black and white point sliders in levels and curves or cmd click in Apple Aperture A tool or eye dropper to set measure points on images (with editable output values as in the info panel in Photoshop) The Shadows/Highlights tool is far behind that in Photoshop. I think this needs a lot to be done. I could also not figure out how to set width, hight and ppi for the crop tool. I have written a review in my blog (http://www.markuswaeger.com/2015/09/10/ist-affinity-photo-die-photoshop-alternative/ , german language) with the summary that Affinity Photo is the best alternativ to Photoshop by now and that people need to take a look at with the restriction that it has weaknesses on high-end editing like I mentioned above. I like to work more in deep in the next weeks and months with AP and if time allows I will write more about in my blog, record some german tutorials about the app and come back to place more feature requests. You have done a great job with Affinity Photo (and Designer). Thanks. Markus
