PixelPusher007 got a reaction from Snapseed in Affinity products for Linux
Nice work Snapseed! Good to know. I will try the desktop distros.
  2. Confused
PixelPusher007 got a reaction from h_d in SOLUTION: EPS Files opened from mounted Google drive show blank document in Affinity
Problem: EPS files opened from my Google drive in Affinity Photo or Designer sometimes produce blank docs.
Solution: Move the file to a local drive and it should work most of the time.
Other Solutons: Some EPS files may still get sideways. If so, you can try opeing in another app or web conversion lools such as Photopea or Pixler and exporting them as PDF file. THEN try opeing in Affinity.
Personally, I haven't saved an EPS format since the late 1990's but theres a lot of them out there. I'm mostly using SVG format now.

Hope this is helpfu for anyone looking for options. I use both Mac OS (when I'm tied to my desk) and Linux / Ubuntu 22.04 (when I'm laptopin it, coverted an old 2015 Macbook Air). I just quit Adobe after more than 20 years. (Started with Photoshop 2.5). Anyhow, I have been very happy with Affinity products.
Since Affinity doesn't offer a Linux product, I use these web based products when I am away from my iMac and love them when I'm working from Ubuntu Linux.
Pixlr: https://pixlr.com/ (very good web app, got me by when I was out of the county for a month) Photopea: https://www.photopea.com/ (My new fav! NOTE Affinity users, this one even has a trace for creating vecrors from bitmap!!) Hope that helps someone.
