They're still leaving the door open for turning to subscription model in the future. That means a pricing model like Clip Studio Paint will be highly possible. However I don't like it, WE dont like it. If they do want those Canva users try and buy Affinity softwares, Serif/Canva should offer discount prices to them just like those who upgraded to V2 from V1. Obviously Canva just WANT a subscription model for future softwares. Maybe someone would make concession to sub model, I can barely accept it.

I am Chinese and I can assure you too. I can only speak little Japanese so I will reply you in English. CJK text support and vertical texts have been requested for a long long time by we East Asian users. Serif said that if they add these functions to their softwares, they would remake the whole way the softwares compose texts. I think it is time for them to solve these problems, either the support for RTL texts. Internationalization is more and more important to the companies like Serif so it's necessary to remind the dev team of the importance to add then asap.

Agree, Serif should make consistent improvements to their useful tools. Though Affinity has smoothier performance and experience, some features in Photoshop still powerful and deserve being added to Affinity.

Same feeling with you. I wonder if Serif could open their APIs for developers from Affinity community so that they can create various plug-ins to solve these old and very frequently asked problems. Full RTL&CJK support, vertical texts, and compelete plug-in support would be the last puzzles of Serif to challenge the old kings.

Sometimes I would work on Chinese contents which meet the same problems with Japanese and Korean words. It seems that Serif lacks the experience in internationalization. Those big rule holders such as Adobe and Corel think highly of it and have done great works long time ago. Maybe Serif need more help from its community or FOSS community.

Completely agree. Vertical texts are very important in many languages. Various users have requested this function for a long time since the age of V1. Serif should support this in the near future.

It is happy to see the release of V2. However the functions about CJK support can be improved. First, I'd like to request for a function which can easily create CJK vertical texts like this. Second, punctuation and paragraph distance. For CJK words, punctuation like a comma or a full stop can't be placed in one line to be the first element. For example, the comma below has been put at a wrong place. In comparation, there is what the text be like in MS Word. None of punctuation become a "pioneer". BTW the paragraph distance of CJK words in Affinity suite is a bit weird because the distance between two paragraphs is equal to the distance between two lines in a same paragraph. More and more people from east Asia start using Affinity suite so that we hope to improve the experience when composing CJK words.
