Import DWG with XREF files
NBabout replied to NBabout's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
I updated today to version 2.4.1, but the problem persists that the dwg xrefs are not imported, the program only recognizes external references for files such as images, therefore png, gif or other. The dwgs that are external references are not opened, but only ignored because they do not even appear in the resource management -
Import DWG with XREF files
NBabout replied to NBabout's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
I tested on new version 2.4, now it recognizes external references but only images (jpeg, png, tiff, ... formats) the linked dwg files are still not recognized and therefore are ignored when opening the file -
Hi, Is there a way to import dwg files with attached xrefs and external files? I tried opening the DWG files but the xrefs are ignored and graphics result incomplete

No values with decimal places can be set
NBabout replied to PaRunk's topic in V2 Bugs found on Windows
Thank you this seam to work, i hope there is no interfernce with other software. -
No symbol works as a decimal, neither the point nor the comma, each time you press enter the comma or point are eliminated and everything becomes an integer. Working on windows, italian language Does anyone know how to fix this? I also tried in version 1, same problem.

i created a rectangle in figma with a simple shadow and exported to svg. when I open the file in the browser everything is ok, while if I edit the file with affinity v2 (the same with v1) the shadow is not there. Even in the reverse step, I create the rectangle in affinity and import the svg file in figma, the shadow is not there. I contacted figma support and they replied that the problem is in affinity. In fact I tried to open the svg file created in figma with photopea.com and the shadow is present and editable. Is it possible that there isn't a standard on SVG? Where is the error?

Before writing untrue things and defining whiny people, you should read what is the point of disagreement on the affinity policy. Nobody asked for the upgrade to version V2 for free, but simply not to have the same discount as those who buy the software for the first time, and especially for people like me who have bought version V1 a few months ago. It seems to me a poor speech to write that I was unlucky, if you knew that the V2 version was released in November you could write it on the site, so everyone decided with full knowledge of the facts whether to buy it or not. I in my small way feel cheated, mainly on principle. It is also useless to make comparisons with adobe or corel or others, those are real scams.

Dear administrators, keep climbing the mirrors and coming up with meaningless excuses. You can say very well that you have fooled many people like me who have bought all the v1 licenses for a few months, with a lot of bugs that will never be fixed because they abound in development. I am nobody and I don't have the money to do it, but I believe this policy can be prosecuted legally. Don't worry about me, you have nothing to fear, I'm poor, you just lost someone who trusted you and believed in your product ..

I'm sorry dan but you keep giving some strange answers. Surely you will have a database of your customers, what it costs you to be correct and send everyone a discount code for the V2 version. It would be correct especially for those who have purchased the previous version a few months ago. Also as you can see from the pictures you posted it is possible to apply a discount code, so it's just a matter of your will and fairness!

I bought through affinity not through other suppliers, in the case of other suppliers the reasoning is correct, but I, like others, am a direct customer and what you are saying is not right. The correct thing would be to either provide a price to upgrade or provide a discount coupon for your direct customers. In my case, software that is practically not even six months old is already to be considered obsolete because it will no longer be updated and lifetime updates were promised. An additional discount coupon seems to be the minimum

Your reasoning is incorrect, you are talking about users who buy the mobile app, I mean the app for windows or mac which has a different and higher price. At least you could send an additional discount coupon to users who purchased version 1 within the year, in my case purchased in May 2022, and there was no indication of a possible new version, only that there would be been free updates for life, this is called false advertising! As mentioned above you can at least send an additional coupon for those who bought the app within 12 months or more, because it is not right to be treated like the users who buy the app for the first time, in my case it is like paying double.

V2 Pricing
NBabout replied to Jade7's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
It is not correct that users with the V1 version have the same discount as those who buy V2 for the first time. I bought version V1 not even 6 months ago and now I should pay back everything as if I were a regular user. Shame!
