  1. Thanks, @MEB! This is a workaround that I can make use of. I do wonder if it's feasible without much negative side effects for the behaviour of the warp feature to be so without the help of a bigger transparent parent shape by default. Like if the warp could be recursively applied at the same scale/magnitude to each child object based on their position relative to the warp nodes/edges. Unless it's already doing so lol. Edit: Hmm... On second thought, I wonder if the issue is actually because the clipped shapes of the child objects are lying outside of the outer edges of the warp group, and there may not be another way around it. While I haven't tried distorting it massively, it seems to me that if the parent shape is even bigger, the warping could scale even more without issues. Yeah, seems possibly tricky to "fix" without much negative side effects.
  2. Thanks. However, I can't seem to flatten them by using Geometry > Divide. Maybe I would have to combine some shapes to make the inner object(s) cover a bigger area in the clipped off portion of the outer object(s) as a workaround. Edit: Alas, other weird shapes are still appearing when I attempt to use this workaround. I haven't found a use case yet for the current way warping works "by design" with regards to nested objects, but maybe it would just be too complicated to make warping work the way I envision...
  3. The vector warp feature does not manipulate selected objects in a way I expect if the said objects have other objects nested inside them. I have made a screen recording as shown below. Both warp groups has an ellipse inside another, and the inner ellipse of the bottom one has had line curve strokes expanded and subtracted from it. I would have expected the vector warp feature to warp both objects without the "bleeding" and outer ellipse fill which you can see as I dragged the warp mesh nodes. Is this a bug or is the feature working as expected? Screen Recording 2022-11-23 at 3.40.35 PM.mov
  4. I think if you click the visit the App Store links, you'll be directed to those apps' pages on the App Store. They should be free to download for everyone, but you should have an Affinity/serif account (not the forum account), that you used when you purchased the products, that you could use to log in to activate those apps when you open them.
  5. For example, if it extends to the full height of the element representing the layer, it would be much easier to aim the double click. Right now, you'd have to double click into the small area where the text field would eventually appear.
  6. Hmm… strange. I don’t get the 3 dots in Affinity Designer on my iPad Pro 12.9” 2018 with stage manager turned off. They only appear in Affinity Designer for me if stage manager is turned on. I do notice other apps like YouTube still shows the 3 dots without stage manager, but that is not the case for my Affinity Designer app.
  7. If I'm understanding correctly, this means the apps on iPad doesn't/can't save to the file from within the opened file but instead saves to a temporary/sandbox copy of the file in the apps, and people would have to save from the Live Docs page to actually save to the file? I can certainly see how most people working on desktops would have an issue with this because they are used to actual files being saved on the save action in the opened files. 5. The app probably doesn't check if any changes has been made and assumes the file has changes if you open it. 7. It probably just saves a temporary/sandbox copy of the file and doesn't change anything in the actual file. 9. So the temporary/sandbox file is deemed to have modifications [M] compared to the actual file.
  8. I have neglected to back up the Designer app folder and don't use iCloud backup, so I think they may be lost forever unless I try out some 3rd party recovery tools. Anyways, it's not the end of the world as I only lost several projects I wasn't really planning on working on again anyway., And I don't want to derail this thread more than necessary 😅 Thanks for your concern.
  9. Yeah, it seems to be removed only if we swipe left and save but not if we open it and save from the opened file however.
  10. Thanks. I actually reinstalled via the purchased section that day, but I think since I had disabled saving to iCloud before, there was no data to retrieve. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  11. I think I understand your explanation. However, the mystery of the [M] tag still lingers. I think I heard it in one of the tutorials that it stands for an unsaved modified file? I saved a copy to a certain location outside of the Designer app data folder and opened the file and then saved it, but it still shows with the [M] tag in the Live Docs tab.
  12. They do mention "M1-equipped iPad models are recommended for more memory-intensive design", but I have a hard time imagining that includes a blank document as you showed 🥲 Hopefully they'll optimize the apps better. Until then, I'm sticking to the desktop version unless I have to.
  13. Thanks! I forgot to change that preference on my Mac even though I did so on my iPad, and I think I did set the resolution to 72 PPI.
