  1. See my Previous posts to: Can't Load More Images @Paul Mudditt@Lee D I seem to have stumbled upon a true fix to my 'Import from Photos' problem. After I put my small collection of pictures and videos (257) into a folder on my iCloud drive, I deleted them from my Picture Gallery on my iPad. As I began to work on my designs again, I started adding pictures one by one back to my Gallery. There are currrently (20) images in the Photo Gallery. Now Designer and Designer2 will both 'Import from Photos’. Maybe these two apps have a limit on how big of a Picture Gallery they can access. Or perhaps there is something about one or more of the images or videos that caused the apps to crash. I just don't know but, I would be interested to know what was causing these apps to crash.
  2. @Paul Mudditt @Lee D Gentlemen, This is a followup to my problem of importing images from the photo gallery. I have found a work around for my problem. I am still working with Designer and have recently installed and currently testing Designer2. Even with Designer2 when I try to import from the Photo gallery Designer2 Crashes. My work around with both Designer and Designer2 is this. I have moved all my photos and videos to a folder on my icloud Drive. Now when I want to place a photo on a document, I select Import from Cloud. This works without a hitch. Now I can start to refine my workflow. The bummer here is, I have to be online to import from the Cloud. But I can always setup a Hotspot on my phone if I'm in a pinch. Fatts_Henry
  3. @Paul Mudditt Well Paul, I tried as you suggested uninstalled Designer, Force Reset my iPad, then reinstalled Designer and verified the app has full access to All Photos. No Joy. I guess I’ll have to live without this feature. As my iPad will crash trying to use the Import form Photos feature. Very odd as you stated on your Ipad running IOS 16.2 this feature works fine. Maybe its because I am using a 2nd Gen IPad Pro12.9. I just don’t know what else to try. Maybe the Designer Team will eventually discover the bug and fix it with an update. IOS 16 will come out of Beta soon and if this is indeed the cause of this malfunction it will need to be addressed. My Thanks to you, and @Lee D for suggestions on troubleshooting. Regards, Fatts_Henry
  4. @Paul Mudditt Yes Paul I have done Forced Restarts several times and there is no change. Frankly other than rolling back to IOS 15 I have run out of ideas. I’m very satisfied with IOS 16 and I just don’t see the upside of going backward. As I showed I can add an image via the clipboard if I need to. My other apps like Procreate, Word, Telegram , and other apps I use frequently to task the Gallery, work flawlessly. Just wish this one worked. Fatts
  5. @mrqasq Yes that’s correct I am running 16.2 beta. But isn’t it odd that the application runs and works just fine with the exception of this one feature? All of my other apps, and there are about 250 work with this beta. I’m not about to roll back my OS for this little inconvenience. By the way it did work correctly twice then went back to crashing, so I am sure there is a fix. Fatts
  6. @Lee D Here is a screen recording of what stated happens when I try to import an image from Photos. Also my iPad model information. Fatts_Henry IMG_1113.MOV
  7. Hello, I am experiencing issues loading photos also. When I try to import from Photos from the start screen or place image from the document menu the app flashes a few photos then crashes. I have checked the permissions and Designer has full access. Have no idea what is going on. Addendum : I can only load a photo if I copy it in the gallery, then in the start screen select ‘New From Clipboard’. This is extremely cumbersome. There has got to be a better way! Fatts
  8. Unfortunately, this application is not usable by me because of my previous complaints about the UI not being scalable. I am 73 years old and have less than 20/20 vision. The fonts and the icons are just too small for me. I’ve elected to remain on the Affinity mailing list. In the future if these features are added, I will consider re-purchasing this application. For now I’ve asked Apple to refund my purchase. Fatts
  9. I wholeheartedly support the addition of the ability to adjust the text and icon font sizes of the UI. Icons and text are much too small and the iPad Zoom feature is far too cumbersome to use during the design process. Fatts_Henry
  10. Hello is there any way I can increase the scaling of the Designer App on iPad? Increasing the Text size in the iPad settings did not do the trick. And I don’t see anything in the App help. Tools and menus are much too small for these aged eyes. Please help. Thanks, Fatts
