carl123 got a reaction from Alfat in Affinity Photo Document File is Corrupted
The tools I use are not available to the general public but in this case, it would have also been recoverable via Publisher's "Add pages from file" function.
It was not a bad corruption

By the looks of it, to me, from what I can see (videos made with phones are not always good to watch for diagnostic purposes), you are trying to paint a raster-based image brush (your signature) onto the photo by using the Colour Replacement Brush Tool (see "Drag to start replacing colour" in the bottom left of the video).
If this is the case, try using the Paint Brush Tool instead.

carl123 got a reaction from John Rostron in Is there a way to do a conical warp in Designer?
I don't think so in Designer but you may want to look into the Equations Filter in Affinity Photo if you need to do this a lot

carl123 got a reaction from Catshill in [Publisher] How do I update text styles of a text frame on all pages at once?
I think that will only work (for all pages) if the text frames are linked
A Find and Replace (Format option) may be the quickest way depending on what aspect(s) of the "text style" needs changing

Nice, I could see that in a children's book somewhere
You also chose a background that was perfect for your design

Use the Add Section icon to add another section from pages 2 to 40
Restart page numbering at 1 for that section

carl123 got a reaction from Chef41 in Text Perspective in Publisher
Assuming you don't want to purchase another app and your text is simple, you can use the Trapezoid Tool to add a trapezoid to fit inside the road with the same perspective.
Then use Layer > Convert to Text Frame, add your text and then adjust the text letters (size and shear) using the character panel.
The text remains editable but this technique is only really suited/practical for small amounts of text that don't need to be 100% realistic.

Nah, that's just you. Artists can look at their work for days thinking that it needs "something" else. It can drive you mad at times
Mind you, images of peoples' cats tend to be mostly the same. Extremely cute, yes, but other than that nothing out of the ordinary
Except for grandma's cat Jess but she (Jess) was one of a kind. Visiting grandma's house, as a kid, was always something we looked forward to because of Jess.

Why, did they have hi-res photos in the 19th century? Looks great the way it is

This is a picture of a friends cat (Cutie) that was taken with a low quality cell phone camera. Decided to turn it into a 19th century photograph, inspired by pictorialism. I'm sure if I spend more time on it, it would look better, also, would probably help if I had a more hi-res photo of the cat. Any feedback welcome!
This is the original image,

AP, AD and APub are all recognised "short forms" in this forum.
Hovering over any of them should produce a tooltip showing what they stand for (Not sure how that works on mobiles)

Perhaps I'm not understanding something, but if I have several Rounded Rectangles selected, and I have the Rounded Rectangle Tool active, I can change the stroke and corners using the controls on the Context Toolbar.

carl123 got a reaction from walt.farrell in Best way to un-embed a file?
I think that is also available in Designer and APhoto
You can just Rasterise the layer (but you will lose future access to the Layer structure, if any existed)

carl123 got a reaction from walt.farrell in Preflight Warnings & Errors
Preflight Comments always generate an alert on export or printing
So, if you are prone to exporting files without checking the prefight panel first, then setting up a preflight comment in your document(s) will always generate an error message and should help stop you accidentally exporting or printing your document before checking the preflight panel for spelling errors.
Suggest you make the prefight comment something meaningful like.... "Check for spelling errors"
Preflight comments can also be added to templates for those that use templates
Personally, I would just set up and use a preset but you may want to create a feature request to have the current way it works changed
