carl123 got a reaction from jmwellborn in Affinity V2.0
In theory yes but since this will be the first version of V2 you'll probably want to keep V1 installed until it (V2) has proven itself to be able to handle all the old V1 files customers have created - probably wait until V2.1 or V2.2 if you can, and when opening an old V1 file do a save as to a new file just to be sure it saves correctly.

carl123 got a reaction from stokerg in Publisher crashes after adding Image
Are you sure?
Those updates have been installing for at least a month now, you should have received at least one, if not more
Please upload a screenshot of your installed updates
(Like the one you see below, from another user)

"we've reported this to Microsoft and they have logged it as a bug to be fixed, therefore we're currently awaiting a new .NET Windows update to resolve this issue."

From "That post"...
"Some users have also reported crashes/issues when placing images, updating resources, adding pages, amending table columns and converting colour profiles. If you're suddenly experiencing crashes when performing actions which worked previously it is also recommended that these updates be uninstalled."

carl123 got a reaction from DelN in Fire in the Woodland
Actually, they are two different creatures.
For birds the air is their domain and they have probably seen a clear route upwards, over/through the land to the right
For the deer, he has to find a ground route out of the danger zone and he's determined that is to be to the left. There's no way he can follow the birds' route out, unless his name is Rudolph and he has a big red nose.

carl123 got a reaction from Sonny Sonny in Affinity Publisher Crashing when Choosing Fonts
Then pause your updates
You know Serif are working with Microsoft to fix the issue
You just have to work around the problem until a fix is available

carl123 got a reaction from IsabelAracama in Using Hue Jitter - how select the colours it jitters?
You may be able to use a gradient map to do this
If you want to alternate the brush between just 2 colours insert hard stop colours into the gradient map as shown below (results on the left side of the screen)
If you want to alternate the brush between the different shades of two colours just remove the (2) centre stop colours (results on the right side of the screen)
Brush used was a basic brush set to green colour and 100% Hue Jitter

carl123 got a reaction from Callum in pagenumber stutters when calculating
Hard to say without seeing the document but in Document > Section Manager there is an option to Restart Page Numbering at...
You may want to check the Section Manager to see if anything looks out of place in there

carl123 got a reaction from BlueSailing in Publisher seems to be corrupting files and crashing
Without doing that last step it's possible the KB number you removed will be reinstalled the next time your computer does any Microsoft updates
But it's also possible that a later KB number can/will also be installed on your computer which causes the exact same problem. Unfortunately, you just have to keep an eye out for them and deal with them as you did with this one.
Alternatively, you can pause all updates for one to a few weeks to see if Microsoft (or Serif) can come up with a fix/patch for this issue

carl123 got a reaction from Bonteburg in Recent frequent crashes (probably *not* Windows-update-related)
If the font bug didn't disappear you still have a malfunctioning .net update somewhere
That update is also known to cause other crashes so it's best you track it down and resolve it

carl123 got a reaction from NathanC in AS: Picture slices
As NathanC has indicated specifying both the W/H values will alter the aspect ratio of the slice (unless you have done the proper calculations)
If you want to preserve the original slice aspect ratio you can just set the required W or H value and the system will automatically calculate the other value on export, thus, preserving the original aspect ratio of the slice you made
