  1. Yes, that's a lot better than the last image. Work on that to finish it and it should be all done
  2. A quick way is just duplicate the black text Change the original text layer to have a black stroke with no fill colour Then move that (lower) layer a "few" pixels to the left But you would need to test it with your chosen font to see how it looks
  3. Yes, that looks OK to me. Nothing really, just have a final look at it to see if you see any obvious minor touchups needed but if you have all the final elements in the composition then it's good to go
  4. The rain on the ambulance roof is too uniformed and too high. You would not get splashes that high and splashes tend to be random The splashes on the umbrella are probably just Ok on the left and right sides of the umbrella but the middle section is also far too uniformed and looks wrong Try to make the splashes much more random and not so prominent, they should be a very subtle effect Or just leave the splashes out altogether and concentrate on just finalising the image and move on to the next bit of fanart I think you have probably nailed this composition as much as you can
  5. Another way is to use the Pen Tool and draw two diagonal lines that will snap to the marquee corners, then snap the star to the intersection of the two lines
  6. From the Help file... Align to—the pop-up menu sets the alignment criteria for the operation. For example, you can align in relation to Selection Bounds, page Spread, page Margin or the first (or last) object selected during a multi-object selection (by marquee drag over or selection with ). If margins are not set, alignment is to the page edge instead. But selection bounds does not relate to a pixel selection, it is selection of layers you have selected
  7. Can you add other assets to that same asset category? i.e. Is only this particular "perspective guide" failing?
  8. Not individual elements of a Master Page as such but you can move an entire Master Page above the content Therefore, you will need 2 master pages, one for the elements above the content and one for the elements below the content To move a master page above the content you select it (on one of the document's pages) in the Layers panel and use the Edit Linked function (see the help file) Notes: When moving the master page layer do not drag it, use the menu command Layer > Arrange > Move to Front Moving a master page layer to the front is not "sticky". If you add new content or pages to your document, they can appear above the master page. So, you may need to repeat this process
  9. Here's the same thing for those still on V1 autobg2-for-V1-users.afpub
  10. The 2.3 beta now has a Spiral Tool which can create some interesting patterns
  11. It helps to know what app(s) you have. But it can be done in Publisher, using.... Art Text Text Frame Panel (for the black fill colour) Paragraph Panel to add 4 decorations (with required stroke size, rounded corners and Indents) Attached file may be easier to understand autobg2.afpub
  12. In Designer, you can... 1. Create a shape the same size of the text frame you want, with a cut-out for the image. Then use Layer > Convert to Text Frame on that shape and fill it with your text (see screenshot below) 2. Or copy & paste your image into the text 3. Or supply an example of exactly what you want to do to get more targeted advice
  13. Yes, I saw them too. As I said it was just a quick test to see if the Selection Brush Tool was right for your images (it was) Whilst still in the Refine dialog I would have then zoomed in all around the image to make sure it was perfect (adjusting as required)
  14. I think you just need to master the "Selection Brush Tool" and specifically the Refine (dialog) process using the Matte Brush on these types of images This quick test took 3 minutes To do it properly about 5-10 minutes max
  15. I'm not seeing any difference in those 2 images. Are you sure the second one you uploaded was the right one you wanted us to see?
  16. Wouldn't that undo the rotating (straightening of the image) the OP needed to do to the image, in the first place (see first post, in this thread)
  17. A pixel layer placed in a document is an image layer. Image Layers can be converted to a Curves layer (Layer > Convert to Curves) A style can then be created from that (now) Curves Layer
  18. Why, the selection brush does a pretty good job Just use a small brush around the edges of the building, then the center and then use the Refine dialog to touch up any areas needed Your document is a little confusing though so you may want to flatten it or merge all layers to a new one and work on that
  19. I can't reproduce this to the extent you are seeing a difference Can you upload the Designer 2 document from which you produced the above screenshot?
  20. Can you upload that Affinity brush (not the image) to the forum Need to see if we can create the problem from scratch or if it's something at your end
  21. In your second screenshot your "Y" value is 80.5px there should be no decimal places for any of the X,Y,W,H values Please check (and correct) that for all 3 of your layers then try repositioning the layers so they snap in place If that does not fix it, once uploaded to the Dropbox link the support staff will get back to you
  22. Not sure, it may "as designed" at the moment. Can't find any other reports with a conclusion to them Possibly a bug or a feature/improvement request needed
