That pop-up is not referring to your V1 documents. It is regarding any custom assets, brushes, styles (etc) you may have added/imported to V1 over the "years" If you say yes, those custom assets, brushes, styles (etc) will be copied over to V2 - Saving you the trouble of individually importing them again In my case yes, but it depends on an individual's notification settings

Yes, the Info panel is just a means to add a sampler to the document Just like the Adjustment Panel is a means to add an adjustment to the document. Adjustment layers do not disappear when you close the adjustment panel. Why should the samplers? You can't Just like you can't manipulate Linked Layers or Layer States in any app other than APhoto Sometimes you need access to the appropriate panel to change/add/delete stuff that only that panel can do

Rasterizing Issues in Affinity Photo & Designer (Version 1)
carl123 replied to Tonya1026's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
You have placed a png file inside your document that has transparency around the main object When you rasterise such a file the rasterization process is designed to trim away this transparency and just leave the object Rasterise & Trim does something different under certain circumstances but in this particular case they do the same thing If you have a specific need to keep the image at 3000px by 3000px but still need to use tools that would automatically rasterise the image (such as the eraser) then there are other techniques you can use to do this such as, in this case, adding a mask and "erasing" on the mask -
There's no automatic tool to do it but a recolour adjustment will allow you to do it manually You could then add that as a recolour preset to do it "automatically" to other similarly coloured prawns

Develop Persona not developing on first images
carl123 replied to Aileen Russell's topic in V2 Bugs found on Windows
Should not happen with a single file How are you Outputting the RAW file? Pixel, Embedded or Linked? -
Even without the linked images I can crash your document by adding one page at some places Can you be more specific as to what you are doing precisely when it crashes for you?

From the help file... Edit All Layers and Select Same/Select Object The behaviour of the Select Same and Select Object commands depends on the Edit All Layers setting on the Layers panel: When the setting is enabled, the Select Same/Select Object commands will match objects across all artboards. When the setting is disabled, the Select Same/Select Object commands will match only objects on the current artboard.

Text decoration problems have been reported several times in 2.0.3 and should be fixed in the next update

RAW FILES - SOMETHING BIG IS COMING
carl123 replied to carl123's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Well, you can batch process and change existing .afphoto files from Embedded to Linked using a macro but not to the same directory (i.e. overwriting the original .afphoto file). You have to specify a different folder for the output files. This actually has nothing to do with developing RAW files & macros. Any .afphoto file cannot overwrite itself - even using one of the built-in macros, like the "Black & White" macro when batch processing I initially thought this had to be a bug but after testing on an old copy of AP (1.8.5) it looks like it's always been this way. So maybe it's just a limitation? (Windows 11) Is this the same on Macs? PS Crazy fact number two, you can't' even batch process .afphoto files, to the same folder, just to change their size (W & H) (i.e. no macros involved) But it works when outputting to a different folder !!! -
Document size

I think there is a bug where linked document act as they are embedded in some cases The cure for this, I believe, is to use Resource Manager to first embed the linked images, save the document, then link them again and then do a Save as... to a new filename PS I would first make a copy of the document -
Serif may in the future provide some sort of preflight warning for broken words but not necessarily an "Overflowing Text Frame" warning as the text frame is not overflowing In the meantime, in the case of stuff like business cards etc you may want to consider individual text frames for each field of the business card (e.g. Name, Surname, Job Title, Telephone, Email, etc) Doing it that way will show a preflight "Overflowing Text Frame" warning whenever the field's data does not fit the available space

"No break" only disables all line breaking if applied to the entire text You can apply it just to whole words, specific (long?) words and not apply it to "spaces" if you want line breaking to occur at "spaces" But between this and your other thread, without a sample document/page that shows the issues you are having most people are just guessing at solutions for you

The OP's reference to "slicing the brush" is in their other post here...

RAW FILES - SOMETHING BIG IS COMING
carl123 replied to carl123's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
I am seeing the same (not sure if it changed n 2.0.3 or I did not test that initially) I can get around the issue by once I have started the macro and developed the image (using embedded as the output) I go into Resource Manager and select Make Linked then save the macro. Note: If you selected Linked as the output and then developed the image, Make Linked will be grayed out in Resource Manager so you need to first select Embed then Make Linked which also seems to work. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to batch process and change existing .afphoto files from Embedded to Linked (overwriting the original file) but this may be due to a bug/limitation, which I will investigate further -
Manage Fonts / Replace missing Fonts is broken
carl123 replied to HeiligerBimBam's topic in V2 Bugs found on Windows
You will always get that message if Poppins (font) is not installed on your device Font substitution temporarily substitutes a font for one you do not have. If you want the substitution to be permanent you need to do a find & replace for all occurrences of the missing font and replace it with your desired (font) replacement. A relatively easy & quick task using the advanced features of Text > Find -
Don't forget to hide the original layer after duplicating it or it will appear not to work and you will see no change

I don't have a Mac but I would check and retest with whatever options you have for the Display: setting and (if still the same problem) then tick the Use only Intergrated GPU (require restart) option and test with that PS If your Mac has not been rebooted since this problem restarted, I would do that first
