I have 10 layout layers. Every layout has a gradient.
Not sure what you mean by a layout layer
But if I have 3 different size Rectangle with the same gradient on them
I can select one Rectangle then do Select > Same > Fill Colour which will select all 3 Rectangles as they have the same Fill (the gradient) then I can adjust the gradient colour nodes and all 3 Rectangles change at the same time
If above is not useful we may need a sample Affinity document

Both Versions open the same for me with the Overlay working correctly
So, looks like a Mac only issue
I'd try the different performance settings like OpenCL & Metal? but I dont know Macs enough to know what else it could be, other than a bug

The blend mode for the Ouline FX is behaving differently between V1 and V2 on Mac at least,
Can you upload that V2 document with the blend mode set to overlay
I'll see what it open like on Windows

This does indeed appear to be a bug...
The Blend Mode work fine on Windows, for me

Disagree...
The word Move is more descriptive of what you are doing
And the word One signifies exactly what the Move will achieve
Affinity have got it right this time and improved on the nomenclature of past decades.
Just because we (old users) are used to Bring and Send does not mean that new generations cannot be presented with new terminology that is better and/or more descriptive of the task(s) in hand. Companies should not have to wait for the likes of Apple or Microsoft to do something first, before they follow their lead, if they think something can be done/described better now. -
I think it's just a very powerful feature that takes a little time to master/understand if not used often.

OK, more shenanigans
When you use the Style Picker to sample a text frame then hover over a new text frame, the cursor then has a "T" next to it.
I assume that means Text and if you then click on the new text frame, it changes the text attributes but not the Frame's fill colour
But when hovering over the new text frame and you press and hold the CTRL key the "T" disappears and everything is applied to the new text frame including the fill colour
To be fair this is documented in the Hint line but I missed its full meaning

now try this without selecting any object which should also be possible and works with just rectangles.
This works correctly with text frames if I hold the CTRL key as mentioned above

Sorry @carl123, it doesn't work for me…
Are you on Windows ? I'm on Mac…
Windows 11, works perfectly (as described above) every time

Shouldn't we ask for more options to have better control over text object ?
It works fine here, try this in the document you provided...
Use the Move Tool to select/highlight the object you want to change
Select the Style Picker Tool
Click Unload in the context toolbar (just in case)
Click the Text frame you want to copy the Stroke & Fill from

Why do we bother posting on this forum if anything negative about the software is just going to get suppressed?
There were valid points raised, just not sure why they get suppressed. A little cut up about that, but what are you going to do?Nothing has been suppressed in this thread
You posted in the bugs forum and it will be treated as a bug (unless proven otherwise)
Give the support staff time to address the problem.
They have many threads and issues they have to work on so don't expect immediate solutions, things take time around here.
Just report the bugs as you find them and move on. There's nothing more you can do.

Is there anyway to display the measurement permanently?
Not at the moment but it has been requested and will appear in a future update/upgrade

I don't understand the question
Can you supply more information or screenshot(s) to show what you want?

Can't initially reproduce (Windows 11)
What OS are you on?Any specific floating panel you see this on?

Do the following:
- Open a non-RAW image (jpg, png ...).
- Open a RAW image, develop it and copy it to the clipboard: Ctrl+A > Ctrl+C.
- Paste the image from the clipboard into the already opened non-RAW image (step 1.).
- Go back to the RAW image.
Result: The image content has disappeared, as if I had not copied but cut. The (empty) layer itself is still there.
Same here (Windows 11) also the same in V2.1 beta (Tested with Linked RAW output)
Note: You can recover the image by going back into the Develop persona (nothing is displayed) and just clicking the Develop button again
Definitely a bug!

Using the layer effect tools doesn't work.
If you choose fx. outer glove, you don't get the correct choices. Menu is wrong.
This is a very annoying aspect of the FX panel
If you tick an effect the right-hand side fields do not automatically change to those associated with that effect. You also have to click on the effect's name (on the left-hand side) to see the correct fields
8 hours ago, Ole Mølgaard said:If you exit FX and go back in they will be there.
Yes, once you have any effect ticked the FX panel will correctly select and display the correct fields for that effect when you go back in

So, the final image (after exporting) the names will same with custom name?
@walt.farrell is right in saying that you can't change the page names displayed in the pages panel
But if you give your pages section names in the section manager then you can configure your master page to automatically "name" those pages with the section names you gave them which will still be there "after exporting"
(Tested on Desktop, I assume it's also doable on an iPad)

The problem isn't solved,
Open the document then do Select > Deselect
Things should then work as expected

Use File > Export and select PNG format

I'd like to learn how to paste objects from other photos to one photo, e.g. I've got the original photo and I'd like to copy a person from other photo and paste it to the original.
How well this works or what precisely you need to do will depend on the 2 images you have
If you go to YouTube and enter...
Photoshop a Person into a picture
You will find lots of (Photoshop) tutorials covering the basics
Affinity Photo should have no problem copying what Photoshop does
Alternatively upload the 2 images you have and someone should be able to give you specific advice as regard using APhoto directly
