  1. It's in the 2.1 beta so you will have it soon when you upgrade your 2.0
  2. I think it's a bug The batch job recognises w*2560 and max(w, h) when entered separately, so why not when joined, as in... w*2560/max(w, h)
  3. Please upload a screenshot showing an image in the Tone Mapping Persona and the Windows menu expanded
  4. When I suggested trying 300DPI I was using pixels and that does give a different zoom for CTRL+1 and CTRL+8 But not for mm, etc There is another "complicated" thread below with a similar issue to which a fix was announced yesterday for the next beta release, so hopefully this particular issue will be resolved in Publisher shortly
  5. 1. Duplicate the Flag Group 2. Rasterise that new group 3. In the Layers panel drag that Rasterised Layer to the thumbnail of the Grunge group
  6. A known bug if you have 2 screens Move that dialog to the other screen then back again - that usually cures it
  7. I think the margins in the Guides dialog are the same margins that the document has and in File > Document Setup you can set margins larger than 400px, which then show up in the Guides dialog Not sure why you can only do it this way to get values larger than 400px
  8. Goto... Edit > Preferences > Performance and switch off Hardware Acceleration
  9. This has been raised before and logged by Support The issue is that it does not occur in V1 but does in V2 (same clipboard data) I see the issue in V2, V2beta but not V1 (Windows 11)
  10. An alternative method for a blank damaged background is just to create a new background from scratch Separate the background to a new layer Sample dark brown colour from top of background Sample light brown colour from bottom of background Add a gradient using those colours to the new layer Add noise to layer as required (to age it a little or a lot) Quick example attached, would need to spend more time refining the separation of the background layer in the first step
  11. Your 2 tables are pinned to 2 text frames but it's the bottom of the tables that are pinned to the top of the text frame which is why they are "out of frame" Can't see any reason why the tables need to be pinned to text frames so the easiest solution seems to be to Unpin the 2 tables using the Pinning Studio. Delete the (now) redundant text frames then position the 2 tables where you want them on the page. The 2 tables will now line up as regards the rows of the table but they will go out of sync again as Row 15 on the right-hand table has an extra Return character at the end of the text (So, just delete that Return character) Note: Should the text frames be important for any reason, just unpin the tables reposition the tables then re-pin them to the text frame. They will now be correctly pinned from the top of the tables to the top of the text frame @stokerg may be able to advise you on why this has happened after he has looked at the IDML file
  12. NMF was not replying directly to Walt's post(s) but to the related issue of the "insertion target" not being sticky and thus has to be reselected each time you want an action that is not the default action for a new layer Walt's answer was correct as to how Affinity does things and what you can expect. The fact that Photoshop does something different is irrelevant You can find more information regarding the issue raised by NMF here...
  13. 1. I assume your PC can also go directly to those URL's (the 1st one will redirect, which is fine) 2. Most mobile phones allow you to set them up as an Internet hotspot so your Win 10 PC can connect to the internet through the phone thus bypassing the corporate network and any issue that may have. I've had to use this to test/prove where a problem lies in the past If you were a home user I would say try this but since you are in an office, you may be breaking a few rules and could get in trouble for it. So you might want to run it by your (friendly?) IT people first
  14. Well, I don't know what to suggest If works fine for me in V2 and the V2 beta using Windows 11 I can switch on/off the file icons, at will, by adjusting my Windows settings You may want to compare your Preferences setting in V1 & V2 to see if anything there stands out Or check Windows updates etc to see if a "recent" update caused issues for other users regarding these file icons My Windows updates are always, deliberately, postponed for at least 5 weeks so never uptodate
  15. It's a very easy cut-out to do using the selection brush and then the refine dialog But if you set the output to Mask you get the white outline you describe But if you set the output to New Layer with Mask or just New Layer then there is no white outline (It's possibly a bug with the Mask output option but I would need a lot more time, that I don't currently have, to confirm that)
  16. Those settings can be specific to certain folders or folder types If you're not seeing file icons for other programs (non-Affinity apps) then it's still Windows 11 where you need to "fix" the issue not the Affinity apps
  17. It's not a Windows 11 problem it's a Windows 11 setting Switch on "Display file icon on thumbnails" Search Google to find how to switch that on
  18. You can use a simple macro to change the resolution to 300DPI and attach that to the batch job There still may be a bug whereby recording such a macro in the current versions of APhoto does not work. But an older version of that macro has been uploaded several times to this forum so you should be able to find it
  19. Do you mean typing in a text box or some dialog field? Please be specific as to when/how this occurs
