I have ZERO painting (or drawing) skills. This is more about photo manipulation (to look like it's been painted) rather than painting from scratch. Grab any photo then use the Paint Mixer brush (set to no fill colour) to paint over the picture whilst using a textured brush to give some texture to the paint stokes. The brush used in the example attached was one of the DAUB Bristles brushes called Dense Fibres | Matte Gouache. I have highlighted the settings I used (in the attached picture) but other settings and brushes will give different effects. After painting the picture the final thing to do is to add a lighting effect with texture to add some more depth to the painting. I have superimposed my lighting settings on the attached picture. Once again it was Erwe that showed me the steps needed to do all this and he has also taken the time to provided a video (https://vimeo.com/200846556) to show how he did it. I simply followed his instructions.

Surprisingly easier than it looks, about 5 minutes per picture in AP Thanks to Erwe for the idea

Use 2 shapes with different colours Add a rectangle bigger than the shape Use the rectangle as the mask for the top shape Easy to align and you can rotate the rectangle (mask) if you want a non horizontal change of colour

2. Until this feature is implemented, for now you can... Select all layers in the Layers Tab Make your selection Edit > Copy File > New from Clipboard All layers, effects, adjustments appear to be preserved correctly in the new document but I have not tested it thoroughly

If Serif could add a Drone Persona so I can operate the drone I got for Christmas from inside AP that would be awesome. Won't need much in the Drone Persona just some navigation controls (preferably via my tablet) and a live feed from my drone's camera so I can take snapshots and edit them in Pixel Persona I can see this being even more popular once AP is available on a iPad. :D

1. The tools you see will also be determined by the "Persona" you are in, not all the tools are available in all Personas. (see attached) 2. When you first open an image it may be locked by default. On the layers tab unlock the image, then select the Move tool and then you will be able to use the handles on the image to "squash" the image to whatever shape you like

Affinity Photo (AP) is new so there are not that many in-depth video tutorials showing what you have requested. But you can find other videos for other software (such as Photoshop) which you can learn from. The trick is to find the same function, used in those videos, when using AP "Another idea is whether there could be a way for members to upload images (could be a security problem) and ask for comments from other guys about how to deal with them." If you are happy to upload your pictures to the forum then I am sure there will be others on the forum happy to help you with what you want to correct/improve on them.

Without the original picture it was hard to see what you had done, now we can Good work with the bird, the bird's reflection and the extension of the front of the boat. The only thing I miss, from the original, is the man's paddle entering the water

This golf course at night can be a scary place. Been playing with the Live, Depth of Field filter and some blend modes

Duplicate the base rectangle and in the layers tab drag its thumbnail onto the thumbnail of your outer circle to create a mask

The macro panel shares the library panel, so if you have the library panel active look for a new tab called macro in there. Alternatively, if you have used a second screen previously and had moved the macro panel there, it may still be tethered to that second screen

If the Mac and Windows products are to remain in sync (version wise) it makes sense that there is no version 2 for the Mac apps as yet Once the Windows apps are at least a year old, it is then I would expect to see version 2 products/upgrades being on the market.
