  1. If you click the button to Show Rotation Centre You can move the Rotation Centre of the small triangle and it will snap to the hypotenuse of the larger triangle Make a note of the X & Y values in the Transform panel Reset the Rotation Centre back to it's default setting Then change the X & Y values of the small triangle to those noted earlier (It would be nice to be able to "automatically" move an object to the new Rotation Centre after you have moved it's centre but I cant see a way to do that - anyone?)
  2. If you don't mind some slight changes to the image you can always copy/paste/manipulate from other (lighter) areas of the image
  3. I'm showing an "unsupported colour mode" on the large jpg export Looking at your document the colour format is CMYK Changing this to RGB gives a much more expected file size on export (Will play more with this later, or maybe a Dev could comment)
  4. Just did a quick test and I cant replicate that. I get the same file size if I export the original file or the Tiff copy Can you upload the file you see this happening to?
  5. Photoshop! Yes seriously, it's been mentioned before that AP's native JPGs are far too big for websites when you need the website to have the smallest sized images possible. Currently I export JPGs at 100% in AP then use Photoshop's Save for Web option to reduce their size to something acceptable to me and the clients. Hopefully Serif are working on a more efficient "Save for web" option
  6. I want to live in your world it sounds very civilised. You can also try Ebay as the sellers will sometimes ship worldwide https://www.ebay.com/itm/Affinity-Designer-Workbook/162945690788?epid=228602198&hash=item25f051eca4:g:qVsAAOSwSLtaqTRg#shpCntId
  7. @Franski Your screenshot shows you are in Pixel Persona there are no Text Tools there Switch back to the Draw Persona
  8. @R C-R If I manually change your precise object's rotation to 62.5 I still see "the erasure is incomplete" Why is that?
  9. If the white space is clearly defined around the main photo (without any of the photo's white edges bleeding into the white space you want to remove) then a macro can be made to remove that white space and effectively then crop to the size of the remaining image An example or two of the sort of image with whitespace you are dealing with would help
  10. This part may be doable in a macro which you could then batch run on other photographs (it would depend on the image being processed)
  11. 1. With the Pen Tool draw a horizontal line from the bottom point of the angle you want to calculate 2. Set the rotation point of the line to bottom/left, then rotate the line in the Transform Tab until it matches the angle and make a note of the angle. (You can use the CTRL + ARROW keys for precision adjustments) 3. Set your text box to the same angle
  12. 99 times out of a hundred you would start with the selection brush, so try this... Create your selection with the selection brush as usual and when you get to a tricky bit switch to the Pen Tool to create a curve layer encompassing the tricky area you also want to select, then fill the curve with a solid colour. Switch back to the selection tool (which should be set to Add) "paint" on the curve layer to select it You should now have your original selection plus the curve layer selection added to it You can now switch off the curve layer's visibility
  13. @dominik Try this... Select the Artboard in Layers panel Layer > Convert Artboard to Object Switch to move tool Click on pasteboard area Go into Document Setup Type your formula(s) there to resize the document Make sure Objects will Rescale option is selected After resizing select the "Artboard" in the layers panel again Layer > Convert Object to Artboard
  14. Artboards can only be created in Affinity Designer I know you have Affinity Photo but do you also have Designer?
  15. Your top 2 layers both have a setting of 0.5px for the Y position in the Transform Panel Change both to 0px Then it will work as expected
  16. I think it's something to do with export settings... The first time you export the file you will be asked to save your afphoto file If you then export again and again with the same export settings you are not subsequently asked to save the afphoto file But if you export again and change something in the export format you will be asked to save the afphoto file again ( Windows 8.0)
  17. You can record a simple Macro (one command) to warp one object then replay the macro on the other objects you want to warp. Identical objects will warp identically Similar objects will warp proportionally
  18. Or you could just use Edit > Copy Flattened Edit > Paste On a selection on an image layer, which will also work without rasterising the layer (I think the copy flattened command may be different on a Mac)
  19. For me all Output options produce the same result whether it's an image layer or pixel layer What am I missing here? (using Windows version)
  20. Are you sure? The selection brush and refining process seems to work Ok for me on image layers
  21. If you don't mind the pixies adding a pixel layer you can always utilise the Flood Fill Tool oreiller-shape.afdesign
  22. @Phoxy Design It looks like your black shape has a very large stroke applied to it which is not subtracted in the Subtract operation Try it with a black shape that has a (black) fill but no stroke
  23. To get a result without clipping, just add a fill layer, rasterise it and move it to bottom of the Layers panel (Or add a new pixel layer and Fill it with some colour) Both these layers can be permanently switched off in the Layers panel, so as not to interfere with the look of your design. Now when you select all layers in the layers panel, do a copy, then File > New from Clipboard the new document should be the same
