    Hey Alfred,

I checked that page. But I already have the other two apps, so I don't need a 'universal license'. I think the Afdesign V2 is only $100 by itself. Which is terrific actually. I love owning an app. I hate subscriptions. But was just wondering if, somewhere obscure, there was a price for 'upgrading'. Ha. Actually, I think I'll just get it. I'm becoming a big fan of Affinity.

Bear in mind if you just upgrade Designer to V2, files saved in that format will not be openable in your other two V1 apps

Ok, I mean if I have an image on a layer, can I just crop that image? Because selecting the Crop tool (Photo) selects the whole document.

If the image is Linked (not embedded) you can select the image layer and Edit Image in the context toolbar. You can then Crop just that image

Bear in mind that this is destructive and will crop the original image (JPG) so masking is usually best, unless you don't mind cropping the original

I must agree that I can't see why the brush should be highlighted if it isn't selected!

Brushes can be dragged and repositioned within the Brushes Panel

The highlighting is to show the brush you are moving and its final position within the list of brushes

I consider that not being able to open a file in Affinity Publisher due to a corrupted lock file, with no easy way of understanding the problem, is a significant bug that could affect other users, preventing them from opening their files.

If the document crashes its associated lock file is supposed to time-out after a few minutes (5?) and thus not interfere with opening a file after that time

Also, if you configure your computer to show hidden files you will always see them (lock files) in the same folder that the associated document is in, and you can then delete them manually
