If I remember correctly "font manager" just allows you to specify a replacement font that will be used in that document but does not change the name of missing font in the context toolbar or character panel and it will still be listed there with the original (missing) font name and a "question mark" (?) in front of it. Saving as a Publisher file and reopening will still list the missing fonts as missing To permanently replace the missing fonts and to get rid of the missing fonts error message you will need to do a find and replace (by font) under Text > Find advanced items (click the cog icon)

Show/hide layers
carl123 replied to abra100pro's topic in Feedback for Affinity Designer V1 on Desktop
Does ALT-Clinking (Windows) on a Layer's thumbnail do the same thing in Affinity? (i.e. hide all other layers) -
my wishlist for Photo

Do you mean a preview in the File > Export screen? If so, it already exists. -
It means the images in her document were linked (not embedded) this is perfectly normal and saves space in the actual document But if the original images are moved from their original folder or the folder was renamed or the images were deleted then she will receive the above message she is getting The solution is to relink the images to their new location (if moved) or copy the images back to their original location as shown in Resource Manager (Then restart Publisher).

affinity designer Can label workshop
carl123 replied to William Overington's topic in Share your work
You need to add an image to the can and make the text less boring Pureed, vegan, gluten free food should not come across as bland if you want to encourage people to try it Lots of people tend to shop with their eyes first and only then read the labels (if they have a specific requirement to do so) Personally, I just grab what looks good on the tin -
You can usually get around that by selecting the colour first then create the object (e.g. a Rectangle) but it depends on what you are filling. There are lots of quirky workarounds in macros when it tells you it can't do something - just post on the forum, to see if a workaround exits for what you want to do.

If you have Publisher and APhoto you can open a Designer file in Publisher, use StudioLink to switch to the Photo persona, start recording a macro, switch to the Designer persona, do what you need to do (it will be recorded) switch back to the Photo persona and stop/save the macro. What functions can be recorded are down to the macro Gods but you can record macros in Designer this way

On page 59 you have a group pinned to the text (floating with text) unpinning it resolves the problem. Also, just moving the pinned position slightly, seems to resolve it as well One for the Devs, as to why?

I think the curve layers are moved sequentially rather than as a "block" If you do individual "move outside" commands on the curves - starting at the bottom layer then do individual "move inside" commands on the curves - starting at the bottom layer it kind of explains why it does what it does The sequential moving theory is further backed up by doing a Release command on that block of curves. You would expect to do a single Edit > Undo command to undo that Release, but you have to do multiple Edit > Undo commands to get back where you were before you used the Release command (This I think is a bug, certainly unexpected behaviour).

Did you try the beta as advised? Do you have any crash reports?
