Hello--I'm really new with Affinity and doing layout in general. I have watched several tutorials and looked through the FAQ. Here is my situation.
I have a pdf document that I created using the old Serif layout program. I can open it into Affinity Publisher with no problem. I have opened the pdf so that all the text is in text frames. I had 2 columns in the pdf, so I have 2 text frames in Publisher. It's great, as I can edit the text, etc.
The problem I'm having is I need to use a specific pdf template that has all the correct bleeds, and column gutter widths, etc. so that I can make a book out of it (8.5x11) and get it through their program's printing requirements. When I open up the pdf, all the columns of the text frames are different size and the column gutters are different as well.
Is there a way to open the pdf and insert it into the pdf template besides going through and cutting/pasting each page individually? It's a 100 pg. document so thought I would check here first to save me some time if there is a simple trick.
Hopefully this makes sense and thanks for any advice.

Thanks Lee,
I attached the Affinity 8.5x11 template that I need to use and the pdf document (Perils of Olden Wood).
When you open Perils...you will see on pg. 7 the column gutter width starts to become different. Pg. 10--Monster and Stat blocks--looks like it always had a messed up column gutter width.
I think I may just have both open and copy/paste Perils into the 8.5x11 template and manipulate it so that it fits to make sure its all correct and recreate a better result. If you think there may be an easier way, Id love to hear advice but don't want you spending a lot of time on it.
