Sorry to hear you're having trouble!
If previous versions of the app are opening files but the latest version crashes, this may be due to Hardware Acceleration, and in part your GPU drivers.
Please visit your manufactures website (ie Intel, Nvidia, AMD) and download the latest driver available for your GPU.
Once installed, launch Affinity and navigate to Edit > Preferences > Performance - in the dialog that opens please untick Hardware Acceleration, then restart the app as prompted and try loading your documents once again.
