Thanks, that worked! Now I'm having trouble with the export. Last week I was able to remove background and then export as a .png and it created a file that was just the selection I had kept with a transparent background with no issue. Now when I attempt to export the same file I referenced above (or another image) the output is simply the original file dimensions with the selection as a part of the whole document with a transparent background. I'm not sure if asking this in this thread is appropriate or if you want me to start another thread. I am attaching the original source files of two images, both af file and two export files. What you'll see it that while I thought I performed the same functions I got different results, neither of which is just the selection. No doubt it's user error. I hope I'm explaining this in a way you can decipher. If there is a training on this subject you can recommend I'd appreciate it. Hi, I am trying to remove the background from a photo in Affinity Photo. I followed these steps: open image unlock rasterize and trim When I get to this step I get random areas where part of the image are deleted. At least that's what it looks like. Last week I performed the same steps and did not have this issue. This has happened on multiple images today. Attaching af file in case that is more helpful.
