Here's my answer as to why we wanted to switch from Indesign to Affinity. After working well with Indesign for more than 12 years, we had to change our computer and only the Adobe cloud solution with monthly fees came into question. Unfortunately, we thought wrong, as the system crashed repeatedly and for inexplicable reasons, and not least because of the high volume of print data, which made transmission and handling at the printer difficult. On our last project, nearly 80 pages crashed. that almost cost us a customer. These are not good conditions if you use the software as a tool to make money.

Now we have saved the document on a local volume. The result is the same and we cannot save the document with another name.

Thank you very much for your helpfull post. But if this is the problem, the software is not made for professional use.

The files are all saved on a NAS Server

I have to save with another name- until i will finish the document i will have 1000 different savings

Hello, thank you very much for your help. I think we will restart by zero. The document was saved as afpub document- so we do not understand the problem at all. It´s not the first time we had such a problem with affinity.

How can I find the corrupted document?

We have worked until now with Indesign and transformed now to publisher
