    Got it! Opened "my Account" and downloaded it from there. The update feature was the problem. I have no idea why, but if the problem is solved, then I don't care why I had it. Thanks to those with suggestions!

    Downloading from Affinity account. I turned off the firewall, that didn't help either.

    BTW, I switched to Chrome and the same thing happened.

    I've tried multiple times to download new version to my MacBook, it downloads for a while then gives an "error downloading, please try again later" message. Any suggestions? Using Safari and macOS12.6
