Walt, It was the View Tool being selected that was causing my problem. As soon as I selected the Move Tool, it started working the way I expected! Thank you so much - I might never have found that by myself. Mark

I am using the trial version of Affinity Photo, and this is what I did: Created a new empty document that is 1,080 x 1,080 pixels. Pasted in an 512 x 512 pixel image I had in the clipboard. I was expecting the pasted image to be movable and resizable on the 1,080 x 1,080 pixel background, but instead, it just embeds itself on to the background and I cannot move or resize it. I am confident I should be able to do what I want, so what am I doing wrong, and how can I move and resize the pasted image? Thanks!
