Unable to use brush tool to mask

Calesini Roberto posted a topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

Dear Sirs, I'm stugling to use the paint brush tool with layers and masks and I've not found a solution on internet and/or FAQ. When I try to paint black or white to mask or unmask the pain brush tool is nor working. I've upgraded to OS to Monterey 12.3.1 I'll attach a screenshot as an example where i try to paint the selected inverted layer but is not working. can you hep? Many Thanks
