  1. Thank you Dan for the response. This clears things up. At least now I can find a way to work around instead of spending time looking for an solution that doesn't exist. Much appreciated. Mike
  2. Hi all, I'm trying to export a design with multiple layers though the export persona in affinity designer. My goal is to import them in Mental Canvas to create a new moving picture. The problem is when I export all the individual slices they all seem to import into mental canvas directly in the middle and on top of each other. All the layers seem to loose their alignment and scale. I would like everything to import as a nice picture, in their respective places as different layers as they are in affinity designer. How do I go about exporting without loosing the scale and alignment? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  3. That's it!!! Thank you so much!!! I didn't even notice that icon there haha! Thanks, Mike
  4. Thanks for the reply and video. I understand what you did there, however, if I want to make my selection using the pen tool (instead of using the smart selection brush which makes the selection within the background image) it makes another seperate layer. I'm wondering how do I make the duplicate of only what I selected with the pen tool? Thanks
  5. Hi all, I'm very used to doing this in the desktop version. On desktop I would outline what I want to duplicate in the rasterized image using the pen tool, click "selection" on the top, and the just "duplicate" using Ctrl+J and only whatever I outlined using the pen tool would be duplicated (not the entire rasteriazed image). Can anyone direct me on how to do this on iPad V2? I seem to get as far as "select image from layer" which highlights my outline made with the pen, but when I duplicate it only duplicates the outline made with the pen tool. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Mike
  6. Hi all! Im thinking of purchasing an ipad to take my affinity designs on the go. Before I do I was wondering if I will have all the same features available to me as on the desktop version or will I just be getting a seriously downgraded version on the iPad and still have to do all my serious editing on the desktop version. I use affinty design and photo. Before I invest in just want to make sure it's worth it! Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks! Mike
  7. Amazing, thanks so much for uploading the video. That method worked really well for the front wheel. Would it work that well for the rear? I feel like it's on too much of an angle to be distorted I to a circle and apply the filter. Would love to see how you would approach it. Thanks!
  8. Thanks for the reply. Yes I have tried that. It still makes the blur in the incorrect direction. Thanks so much for the pics. Unfortunately this method still make the blur in a circular motion instead of an ellipse even tho the effect is shaped into an ellipse and not a circle. Below is what is happening: What I would like is below: Thanks for the reply. This method still gives the effect as circular. Thanks for the reply. This method does give the correct illusion! Its a different method of thinking about it. But I really hoped affinity photo gave a way to do this effect as easily as Photoshop does. Thanks for the reply. This method aslo works and looks great but I'm planning on doing this with other cars as well where I won't have the luxury of taking a separate picture from the side. But this is the look I'm going for.
  9. Lol! Good eye! Actually it's a LHD FD that I'm making into a Spirit R with all the Spirit R goodies.
  10. Hi there, Im trying to create the effect of motion on my car by making the wheel appear to spin using the radial blur tool. However the tutorials I find are all when the car wheel is facing completely straight so the effect is easy to apply when you choose the center of a circle because the wheel IS a perfect circle. Now the car I'm trying to give motion to is on an angle so the wheel is turned making the wheel into an ellipse. If I choose the center of the ellipse the spin effect is weird because it's not a perfect circle. Its like the entire ellipse is spinning around the center. I want it to spin WITHIN the ellipse. How do I do that? Thanks.
