Hello,
Most likely a simple question to most, but I'm wondering if there would be an easier way to layer these without brushing the foreground image into the simple star trail. This was a star trial I took tonight, due to the full moon and shot time was short, I know this isn't the best shot I just wanted to practicing editing.
1st Image
I did an HDR shot of 7 images, Converted to 32 bit and tone mapped it. This was the Foreground. "I just wanted to have some fun with this shot"
2nd Image
I did a 40 minute Star Trail
All I know how to do is put the Star trail over the 1st image "Foreground" and use the white/black paintbrush to slowly bring in the foreground. This is extremely difficult when you have trees in a shot that the darker sky of the star trail seeps through. Is there a tutorial on how to make this easier?
I've seen this is photoshop where it uses a smart tool if you get close enough to the trees and blends the two images?
Some smart tool that can be less harsh closer to the edges of the trees. Because right now I can brush each branch to bring in the color of the foreground, however this method takes so long and is nearly impossible where the branch is extremely small with the sky right behind it.
Thanks for your help so much!
