  1. We can customize the modifier keys in VectorStyler and in free open-source software like Blender/ Godot, so we should also be able to do it in Affinity
  2. To resize or scale an object from its center, we can hold Ctrl key and drag one of the object's corner handles. I want to change the modifier key to Alt, but there is no option to do it. Please make the modifier keys customizable.
  3. I must've been drunk when I was scaling the objects. Could we change the Ctrl-drag to Alt-drag, for resizing an object from its center?
  4. To proportionally scale an object or to keep the object aspect ratio when scaling, we can hold the Alt key in Affinity Publisher. Could we change the modifier key to Shift?
  5. I tried to enable Num Lock as @walt.farrell suggested and I can create the special characters with the hotkeys (Alt + 0XXX keys). Apparently we have to enable Num Lock in Affinity software, which is not necessary in other software
  6. I don't think another app was interfering with the Character Map hotkeys, because I can use the hotkeys in other applications, apart from Microsoft Word. I have deactivated Microsoft PowerToys, yet the problem persists
  7. The special characters also appear as outlined boxes with Bodoni MT, Book Antiqua and Times New Roman fonts in all Affinity software on my WIndows 11 system. As for my keyboard layout, I set the [Time & language] > [Typing] > [Advanced Keyboard Settings] > I tried both [Use Language List] and [English (United States) - US] options
  8. Please find attached for a Publisher file Special_Characters_Not_Showing_Correctly.afpub
  9. It's weird, because I tried it with Arial, Bodoni MT, Book Antiqua and Times New Roman fonts. All those hotkeys I mentioned generated outlined rectangles instead of the correct special characters in all Affinity software
  10. I thought Publisher is more akin to Adobe InDesign. I was used to make layout design in Adobe Illustrator for individual pages and Adobe InDesign was just used to combine them
  11. I used to make all layout design in Adobe Illustrator for individual pages and Adobe InDesign was just used to combine them. I will just use VectorStyler if I don't make a book, because I'm so used to the old workflow
  12. I thought Publisher is more akin to Adobe InDesign? I was used to make layout design in Adobe Illustrator for individual pages and Adobe InDesign was just used to combine them
  13. I cannot insert special characters (Character Map) in all Affinity apps on Windows, using the Alt + 0149, Alt + 163, Alt + 169, Alt + 174 and Alt + 176 hotkeys. I can do it in other applications (Notepad, Notepad++, WPS Office, Libre Office and VectorStyler), except Microsoft Word. My operating system is Windows 11 Home Single Language 64-bit (10.0, Build 22000). This is the first time I installed Affinity software on my PC and the version is 2.0.3. I have restarted the PC after the installation is done.
  14. Visual/ graphical tab stop ruler is required to make tab stop creation more intuitive in Designer, as the ones in Adobe Illustrator (the one with Ctrl + Shift + T hotkey), Publisher and VectorStyler: Tab Stop Ruler in VectorStyler
