  1. Nice, seems like an okay workaround, but it would still be nice if this were just natively the case. With as amazing and complex this app is, I can't imagine adding an option to change the background color for artboards is a very high inertia development task
  2. But there is a way to adjust artboard gray level on Desktop, is there not? Can we PLEASE have a darker background option for using artboards on the ipad? I often design late at night and it really hurts the eyes to have the whole screen white (bright gray). This is my number one request for Affinity iPad, please please please can this change
  3. @_nils I suppose, but that's different from what I'm asking for here
  4. I made a post about this well over a year ago and it got zero attention. I refuse to believe I am the only one who finds this frustrating, so perhaps I explained it poorly. I use Affinity Designer primarily for Web and Application design work. Now often, I'll have a specific element, button, interface, whatever that I am working on and am not quite sure of the design yet. I'll draw up a couple of alternatives, and swap them out to see which I like best. It is this swapping that I find so annoying! Constantly having to find the one that is presently displayed, click it to hide it, then the one I want to show, and click to show it. I wish there was a way to link specific items together as being a single unique 'item', that only one of will every display at a time. Then I can quickly and easily swap between all of them by simply clicking the check mark next to the one I would like to see. Please consider working this as a feature into Affinity Designer. It is something I do all the time and find incredibly frustrating.
  5. Hi, made an account just for this idea I had today. So I use Affinity Designer mainly for mocking up webpages or other applications. I realize that often I want to quickly switch between 2 or more versions of the same feature to see which one I like more. It may sound trivial but it is a bit of a pain having to check and uncheck each item in turn. I would like the idea of "linking" layers, objects, or groups in the layers editor with the ability to make them mutually exclusive. Meaning that at any one time only one of the layers can be checked. Checking a different layer automatically unchecks any other active layer that is linked to this layer. Example: I have an interface, with a group that holds a menu bar and some icons. In this menu bar, I have a group or layer that represents the 'Close' icon. All members of this group are linked and mutually exclusive, so that when I want to switch to a different icon model I simply just tick the box. I realize this may get buried with the insane amount of stuff you guys do, but its the little things that make a program nice to use you know? Anyhow if this gets added to some list of "one day this shit'll be implemented and it'll be cool", I'll be happy.
