I decided a system reboot was in order and that seemed to fix it. Odd behaviour with this OS version.

I am on Catalina 10.15.6 so I wonder if that is an issue?

Hi, This is the first time I have tried this... Has anyone experienced the affshortcuts file from Affinity Photo not being recognized on a Mac. Can't seem to get it to load. When I save the default shortcut file it fails to be recognized. I have the apple store version 1.84 of Affinity Photo. Dan AffinityShortcutDan.affshortcuts

I see the problem/difference - I didn't delete the crossover objects as you are doing, but instead just coloured them to match the upper letters color. Dan

Hi G13RL, No particular reason, I was just trying what looked the easiest at the time. I am still learning this program and if you can post the instructions on how the mask would fit into this workflow I would appreciate the info. Thanks, Dan

I checked again and it appears that you hit XOR instead of divide which will give you the result above. Dan

Hi All, I am looking for a solution for this specific issue but have been unable to find a reference. I am designing a simple logo made of overlapping artistic text letters but find that there are artifacts, (stroke lines), left over when I export the document. These lines are visible in the .afdesign file even when no layer is selected. The process I was following is: 1. Create and overlap individual text elements. 2. Added outer glow and 3D effects to the letters. 3. Select convert to curves for all elements. 4. Select the divide function. 5. Color individual curves to my liking. 6. Export as png or jpg - same result. See the png file I have included. I am on a Mac running version of 1.7.3 of AD. Dan

I have followed this topic and have checked out my versions. I have version(s) 1.7.2 of Designer and Photo from the App store and Publisher ver 1.7.2 from the Serif site store. All of the apps were updated at different times. Photo and Designer updated together and Publisher was updated at a later time. Publisher is the only app that seems to allow me to link to Photo and Designer. Where as Photo and Designer don't show the other apps like Publisher does. Is this the expected behaviour or is there something else that needs to change?
