  1. +1! i'm dying to see variable font support, especially as they become more popular.
  2. this worked like a charm, thank you! it did, actually! i just noticed it was actually adding some unwanted color to a few of the edges of the render as well. i'll advance further into this project tomorrow, so if i have any issues, i'll keep this in mind! thank you!
  3. apologies if this has been posted elsewhere! i haven't been able to find anything in the v2 forums via searching. i'm having issues getting an exact selection refinement output to a mask. the refinement window shows exactly what i want, with clean edges and no artifacts anywhere. however, when i have it create a mask out of the refinement, i can still see little green artifacts along the edge of the model. am i missing a step here? my thought would be that whatever the refinement window shows me is what i'd get, unless there's some other factors i have to adjust. there's nothing super complex here that i'd need the brush for either, it's just a bunch of polygons. does the method of initial selection matter? i've been selecting the green screen background, then inverting it so i have the model selected, so i can get it isolated on a transparent background. i have no issue adjusting the mask itself to get it perfect, i'm more just wondering if this is user error or an issue with the software.🤔 i'm using photo 2.0.3.
  4. i really dig this style! are the watercolor brushes a default set? i haven't used brushes in the Affinity suite much to know for certain. i also think the typeface combination is great and works for the style you went for here! may i ask what font you used for the back?
  5. hi all! i'm a long-time graphic designer and digital artist, ever since i got my own copy of Photoshop when i was 10. i can't remember when i discovered Affinity, probably sometime in 2017-2018 after my college subscription to Creative Cloud ran out, but i'm so glad i found it. i'm a designer that covers a lot of ground, but whose main focus is in UI/UX and digital work. can't wait to see how far Affinity progresses in the coming years!
  6. i'm glad i'm not the only one having touch gesture issues. i've been using an HP ENVY x360 for both illustration and design work and i've found that trying to use gestures on Photo has been a little bit aggravating. they seem really finnicky sometimes, like when trying to move the canvas with two fingers and the software repeatedly tries to zoom in, or making an accidental touch somewhere on the screen and the canvas goes flying. in these instances, i've been forced to switch to CLIP STUDIO PAINT, as the touch compatibility with this software is incredibly seamless. CLIP STUDIO can properly register gestures for moving the canvas (one-finger drag), zooming in and out (two-finger pinch), and even undoing and redoing (two-finger tap and three-finger tap, respectively). by no means am i knocking on Affinity by bringing up CLIP STUDIO, but i'd love to see Affinity incorporate some of these gestures in their software, or at least give us the ability to customize them. i want Photo to be my primary photo editing/drawing software, but at the moment, the experience is a bit rough.
