I can't help you with your problem, but had one of my own that I have not had a chance to explore. I did the same as you, and the plugin opened, but the fonts were so tiny I couldn't read them and the drop-down menus were scrambled so I gave up in frustration. Larry

I think I found the solution. There was an operating system (Win11) upgrade last night and it reset my default app to Ver 1. I changed it back to Ver 2 and now it's OK (I think).

I tried to open Affinity Photo by clicking on an .afphot file. It resulted in a notice of an update to version 1.10.5.1342 and request to download. Now I know that we are on version 2.04 so I closed the application. When I open the app by itself it opens correctly as 2.04. What's going on???

Recently, when adding adjustment layers they are added to the selected layer instead of on top. I can then select the adjustment part of the combined layer and drag it above the selected layer to where it's supposed to be. I can't seem to find any references to this behavior in any help resources. What am I doing wrong? Did I change some setting somehow? By the way, my hearing is poor so the video help series are useless to me. Larry

When I develop a raw file (dng), it appears in Persona as a .dng layer. I developed the file as an embedded, non-destructive layer. No background layer shows up. Is this to be expected and the .dng layer to be treated as a background layer as in V1? Did I do something wrong?

Thanks to all who replied. I reset to factory settings and it appears to have solved the problem. I wonder why re-installing the software didn't do the same? I guess I will need to be careful when changing settings so if it happens again I will know which setting was the cause.

So, where do I go to get an answer to this problem which is very annoying?

Thanks for the reply. Using Affinity Photo UI goes dark with both Open command or Double click in explorer. When I close the file, UI goes back to light. This doesn't happen when I start in dark UI - it stays dark when file is opened. Gray sliders don't work in dark UI either.
