I just did, restarted my laptop and opened the new apps. On a MBP 16" (M1 Max) both apps took about 3 seconds to load completely. The splash screen is displayed in less than 1 second. I didn't time the startup time of the old apps, but it was much longer.

Any updates on this? I get that it's a problem that requires help from Apple, but please keep us up-to-date. It's been a long, long time.
