ACTUALLY, I went back in and tried it again, and when I step the duplicate copy down and over, and then press CNTL/J it pastes all on top of each other forgetting the step over and down.

At 3:28 after Cnrl/J for copies, when I went to add them together, I got a swirling circle and sat there for more than 15 min before I force closed it.

That helps in the explanation to a certain extent. I understanding loosing the opacity. I had a hard time finding "Solid Pen with Pressure & Opacity" other than hovering over the pen by accident. It looks like only #16 and 24 are the only 2? I dont care about the opacity as much. I would like to have the outer edge. Almost like if I could trace it after it was made since many wont expand.

But Theres nothing written about "import " either....... Ad states..... "Works with all other major file types including....." A 1 way transfer is more like "partially work with"

1. I dont see and selection past "Pens" in the drop down. A link to show where to access it? 2. Instead of being bitmap based patterns attached to vector curve, make it a true vector that can be expanded. (Vector Brush Not a true vector so why bother calling it a vector brush)

According to SAI techs in multiple online meetings, I can create within their program and save as an authentic "Adobe Illustrator Legacy Version"(*.AI) ...which I have done for 3 yrs+ ... so your saying thats not a true ai file when I create it? Below is a test file created from scratch in a non adobe program that saved as .ai. I opened it in Illustrator and this is what I get. Now if you dont want to add support, thats up to you but thats a different topic.

That is not true. I can list a hand full of programs that have the ability to; not only recognize, but edit and, even save once again as an .ai... back and forth. I personally use at least 3 programs daily that have this ability.

Typically either creating a drop shadow, or adding 3D type effects. Most of the time its trying to create depth so they dont all look flat. I know I can manually add some 3d by doing a blend then weld and place behind. Inly thing is its not live, so if a customer wants changes, it has to be redone. Im open to ideas since most of what I do is large format and pixelization becomes a real issue.

Ok, I dragged the group up into the mask shape and it worked. Thank you I understood you dragged from above down. I have to do this due to AD not friendly with other software (Illustrator and Flexisign) and likes to pixelize my vectors when I dont want to. (pdf) Then I have nasty pixelated edges to try to create a smooth contour cut with.😒

I have a group of vectors that I need to mask. I created a shape I want to mask with but can not get it to mask (Remove everything below outside of my curves shape) I mask in Sai Flexisign and Adobe but Im struggling here. I have to do this so I can create a contour cut around my curves. I tried to drag down and right to make the right side turn blue, but wont happen.

External drive or Nas? I've been saving for a few weeks now on my Nas and everything is good.

I have been using Adobe products, (Primarily Illustrator and Photoshop) as well as a few others and saving ALL (100%) of my customers artwork for over 10 yrs on a recently updated Truenas Core server networked by LAN and never had an issue with saving any files from those products. Keep in mind that the software of all of these are installed on my windows machine and just use the nas for storage. I have been running and saving all my files on my NAS without issue. (I did have a font issue with Affinity, but a reinstall seems to have fixed that). I create very large files as the prints for what I do are large. SO far, Affinity Design has been working perfectly fine saving this way.

Im not sure how or why, but I just spent the last half hour doing a remove, reboot and re-install of Photo, Design, and Publisher. So far the font seems to be working fine. Thank you guys for the help.

Windows wont let me remove the font arial since it is a protected windows font. Arial shows and saves fine in 100% of my Adobe Cloud programs, Flexisign, Inkscape, Word, Corel, and SignLab. There is something else going on here. Another weird issue that happens during saving pdf in Affinity Design, is spaces between text disappear and lines shift... nothing is staying put either.

The only item that is Angelface is their names. Which save fine on my end. Its the Arial font that is messed up. So, just to diagnose it further, I removed Angelface completely, saved it with aerial font only and the issue is still there. So, its not related to Angelface.

I need someone to test it on a PC. Mac is also useless for me as well as Nobody makes Mac complaint software to run the printers, and cutters, and other equipment.

I didnt say EVERY image would be 300dpi. As a 10yr old sign shop, Im familiar with dpi and distance. I run a very high end gaming PC for running my shop.
