Issue 1 All exporting as a .pdf export as LAB color when I require RGB or at least CMYK for my secondary program. I tried to change settings during export and no luck. Issue 2 Once I found a fix or adjustment, I was going to create an Export Preset for a pdf, however, there are no such settings for (Create Preset) as per.... To create a custom preset: From the File menu, select Export. At the top of the Export dialog, select a file format. (Optional) Select a Preset as the starting point for your custom preset. Adjust settings in the dialog's Advanced section. From the Advanced section's options menu, select Create preset. Enter a name for your custom preset, then click OK. Consequently, when the corresponding file format is selected on the dialog, the custom preset is available from the Preset pop-up menu. https://affinity.help/designer2/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/ShareSavePrint/export.html?title=Export

Can't load some brushes (.abr) in Affinity Designer
Calvert replied to Hellome's topic in Affinity on iPad Questions
I also am having issue with importing brushes. It states it does import, but they do NOT show up in any lists. -
When AD exports a vector, it exports it with a mask on top. Once I open the pdf , I remove the mask leaving the original vectors, some of the colors had changed. Since you cant export in .ai, and svg and eps never show up at correct scale, the pdf seems to be the best way for now to move between multiple programs.

Currently I have been running Beta 2.1.0.1781. There is an update as of today I see to 1790. Ill update and see again.

Your not understanding the issue and I understand transparencies. 1. Image was all ready a transparent png file that was given to me. 2. When I re-saved the image and exported it, it exported with white background - EVEN with trasnsparent background ticked. 3. It was only when I un-ticked and re-ticked would it save correctly with a transparent background.
-
It was a .png to begin with and was re saving it. Ill send origional file shortlt.

I imported a raster with, (document, transparent background ticked in menu) and no matter what, it would not save with a transparent background. Only way I was able to was to make it work was to un-tick and re-tick transparent, then it finally worked. It was almost like it was not registering the 1st time. I did the same process a 2ndd time with same results.

First, I do not declare any such title with laser cutting. I didnt see that the lack of exporting ability till after the 30 day period. If your such a fanboy of the Affinity Design, you shouldnt have any issue with owning 2 licenses, so I will sell you mine. I see that as a win/win. You can be TWICE as happy, and I can go on and purchase a superior product elsewhere. 🤔

So because you duplicate 99% of all the features (probably due to Serifs shortcomings) you consider this software not a clone? Ironic your targeting the EXACT same customer base, with 99% of the same features and its not a clone? As I said earlier, Adobe is laughing. If I would had known about Serifs shortcomings before the 30 day refund ran up, I would had got my money refunded, and would not have looked back.

I NEVER stated Affinity was a CAD. However, Affinity came out advertising they were in the same category as Corel and Adobe and it looks like they are NOT either. If that is the case, the 2 top competitors that they are "trying" to compete with BOTH export in dxf file format. Sometimes, I use Adobe to save dxf for cnc sign shapes and are within tolerance to what we need. No big deal. Bottom line, once again another program not what it was cracked up to be and fell short. If I was Adobe, Id be laughing.

If it was the ONLY way I could do what I needed to do, then yes I would. However, all I would need to do is spend $599 on Corel and not $2000. SO, LondonSquirrel would you purchase "MY Adobe competing product" for $34.99, even if it didnt do what you need it to do like Lightroom? Hey, thats HALF price of Designer
-
No matter how much you spend, or if its free, if it cant do what you need it. what good is it? Yes, if Designer was a true Adobe killer, Id pay double what they are charging right now for Designer. I just purchased $6000.00 3d reverse engineering software, not because of cost, but because of what it can do. Please, stop acting like cost is the ONLY reason in the equation.
-
Why would "How much it costs" matter if there is lack of function? Even if Designer was free, if it cant do what is needed for a WHOLE industry segment, its useless to that industry. You do get what you pay for. Designer had the hype of being the Adobe Killer that was going to replace Adobe. Sad to say, its far from that, It took a swing but the Designer developers seem to have backed down from their challenge coming up short. The ONLY function Designer has that Adobe doesnt is the shape builder tool, however so does the $4.99 software on my tablet.

So, if Affinity Design doesnt adapt to a file format (dxf) that has been with us for at least 30 yrs in the CAD industry, I dont think it can be a good partner either. I fixed your quote above.... See it depends on prospective Sorry, but Neither Illustrator or Designer can do what CAD programs can do on an accuracy and 3D level.
