  1. THank you, Komatos. I have activated the two PSD options. Old Bruce, your tip was helpful. I could change the word (there were many layers to the word, but when I changed one, they all changed... see attached circle indicating a random one I chose to double click then edit in a new window). And thank you, Walt. I'm starting to think the downloaded Freepik psd might just be a smart object that cannot be handled by AP PROBLEM: the dynamism (blue glow) and original font are gone. See attached (what it is suppoed to look like vs what it looks like). Is this because of the smart object not being handled completely? Do I need to have the original font installed (I dont know what the original is... the psd file doesnt say).
  2. Hi MEB. I'm replying to this thread because I dont see how to contact you directly. I am trying to edit PSD text effects (from Freepik) on Affinity Photo. I've seen your advice to tick the Preferences/General item to import as text. I've done that. But I'm still stuck on not being able to select and edit the word. I hit the text option on the left, and I double click on the layer on the right, but nothing lets me change the text. I'm guessing I'm missing something really basic. And I know you're the guru! (Also, do I need to have the font in my font book for it to be recognized and usable in Affinity Photo? The cool font gets converted the moment I see it in AP.) Thanks!
