Thank you for sharing your solution! This is EXACTLY the effect I was hoping to create in Affinity Photo, and I thought I was out of luck until I found this thread. You can adjust the spatter ‘resolution’ by playing around with the Strength of each of the Displacement Map layers — I just double-clicked and played around with the slider of each of the s/m/l layers. The layers on top compound the spatter effect of the layers below — finer spatter gets applied to the chunkier spatter.
