StudioLink in Publisher, and File > Edit in ... all require compatible applications of the same version and major release number. E.g., all 1.9, or all 1.10, or all 2.0, or all 2.1.
You should be able to open all V1 documents in V2. However, you cannot open any V2 documents in V1.
The compatibility, as with StudioLink and Edit in ... is determined by the version and major release number, just as it was in V1. Thus:
V1: 1.9 could Open documents saved in 1.8, but 1.8 could not Open documents saved in 1.9.
1.10 cannot Open documents saved in V2.
V2: 2.1 can Open documents saved in any earlier version/release.
2.0 can Open documents saved in any earlier version/release.
2.0 can not Open documents saved in 2.1. -

Well, I'll be damned. I didn't knew this. I just removed default associated ICC display profile and it works like the charm, colors looks accurate in Affinity.
