  1. I downloaded affinity and took a cursory look but it looked complicated so I closed it then life got busy for me for the past couple of weeks so had no chance to take a second look. Then while I am still in a busy spell for the next week or so we had a total lunar eclipse last night and I took some telescopic images that I tried to open in irfanview but they looked like mono images. Some research informed me that I might need something called de-bayering so I thought maybe the affinity software I downloaded might be capable of that function so I was going to try it until after clicking it I got a message that the trial had ended. Wow I thought that's quick or short, whatever. Perhaps someone can save me some trouble if they could answer my question about the de-bayering, can affinity handle that kind of astro-photo data and open the image of the Moon at totality with it's red color intact? The downloaded file type is png, but the de-bayering is independant of the file type, I think. Robert Babb
