Remove back ground
Lee_T replied to vpkumar's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi vpkumpar, A little trick for this type of tricky selection, especially with your selection being very high contrast could work as follows: make a duplicate of your original image. add contrast and curves adjustments to turn push the contrast even further until the trees are isolated. flatten the visible layers so you can make a magic wand selection on the new image manually tidy up the selection use the selection on your original image. How your contrasty version should look: How the white area selection looks: Applied to the original layer. -

Problem with file
Lee_T replied to andreg's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Apologies for the delay getting back to you i've been away from the business. I've tested what I can, and much like @thomaso I can export and save what I have, but the document you sent is still looking for remote files and I also do not have the fonts. Could you please try saving the document as a package in a local location and relinking the files to the folder with the collated documents. Lee. -

Hi Yendo, Sliding nodes is not currently a feature. It's certainly a feature worth requesting on our feedback area of the forum though. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/122-feedback-for-the-affinity-v2-suite-of-products/ Lee

PHOTO EDITING PRESETS
Lee_T replied to Shelly's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi Shelly, Walt is correct, LIghtroom presets do not work with Affinity software. Though, as most people who use them, are generally trying to apply a particular look to their images, you may want to look at LUT's which are an industry standard way of applying various looks to images/video, which our software does support. https://affinity.help/photo2/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Adjustments/adjustment_3dLut.html?title=LUT adjustment There are many, many free LUT's available online, and paid ones by professionals such as our own excellent LUT pack from Ivan Weiss available on the add-on store https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/store/product/top-9-lut-pack-by-ivan-weiss/ Lee -
