Just for your information, don't feel you need to use the studio drivers, but it was worth a test. (very few benefits, some downsides to general performance in my experience).
What CPU , and how much RAM do you have?

Is this repeatable?
The auto brightness issue I was referring to is something that can specifically affect MacOS. It's very unlikely to be the source of your issue.
If you are able to repeat this issue, could you please list your computer's specs [OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM]

I'm wondering if there may be something else interfering with your operation in this manner, this is something we do on a regular basis across many machines/OS's and would have been very apparent if this were a general issue.
Could you try uninstalling your tablet driver temporarily and re-testing?
It may be worth checking any other processes that have any control over input and closing them too.

Could you please try copying the attached file to the following location and overwriting the existing file. This will switch the rendering mode to WARP which should help you launch the app.
"C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0\Settings\PerformancePreferences.xml"

High polling rates on mice can sometimes cause bottlenecks elsewhere (it may be worth checking your activity monitor for spikes in activity).
Which Driver are you using, nVidia's studio or game driver?

If you are using an Apple device, you can switch your RAW engine to Apple's which alleviates this issue. Unfortunately Apple's RAW files contain some unique data that causes this affect on our engine.

Have you enabled "force pressure" on your brushes context bar? Each brush also has it's own settings which can be edited to choose which parameters change via pressure levels.

Hi JGansett,
This is just a false positive. The crash handler is just a process that does as it describes, handles crashes by writing logs and closing the software correctly, there's no "code injection" or anything like that.
I can't see there being an issue blocking this process if you wish to though.

Thanks for reporting this, we're aware of this issue and are currently looking into it.
Meanwhile could you try restoring your backup prior to the update to retrieve your documents (i would advise saving these external to the app once recovered, so you can update the app without any risk)
