Adding Items to Assets Stretches Text
Lee_T replied to Chris Heath's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
Hi Chris, I'm not able to reproduce this issue, are you on the latest version of Designer? (1.10.5) Would it be possible to export one of your Assets with the issue (using the small 3 line burger menu in the Asset Panel) and sending it to us here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/SSXvhr4ZS6bC3uTg5uHf Lee -
You can create a style from selection to include all of those things which can then be applied in the same way you are describing. Lee

Hi Intuos5, Hopefully this video explaining how to use the colour picker to apply sampled colours to your objects will help you. Lee https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/designer/desktop/video/301808466/

Hi dr3ad_unicorn, Have you tried either updating or reinstalling your graphics card driver? I've tested the file here and i'm not seeing the same issues you are having and the fact that you are getting crashes with acceleration is a bit of a red flag. What hardware are you running i.e. CPU/GPU/Ram? Lee

Hi Shema, We currently have no plans for Linux I'm afraid and we cannot support emulation etc. Lee

I'm not convinced this is a bug, the studios and pop out windows such as the "new.." dialogue box will remember where they were when they were closed, the problem you are experiencing seems only to be caused by not moving the additional windows over to the appropriate monitor before closing it? I think any adjustment to this method would annoy just as many as it resolves it for. Lee

After crash, layers were erased and some are glitching
Lee_T replied to Kazrarr's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
Try saving to a local drive or disabling any power saving options on your external drive to see if this prevents it from happening, It's fairly likely the save destination is the cause of the corruption. -

Zoom to Fit does not fit the image!
Lee_T replied to Jorge Aramuni's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
Hi Jorge, This is by design to allow a workable area for off screen object selection. I've moved the thread to the suggestions area for visibility. -
I'm afraid that's not possible at the moment, it's not ideal but the closest is to convert the text to curves once you've aligned it to curve and to manually rotate skew each letter to suit. Lee

After crash, layers were erased and some are glitching
Lee_T replied to Kazrarr's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
Your "Details Arm" layer is unfortunately corrupted, there could have been any number of causes, are you saving to a cloud based location on your drive (syncing files with iCloud/Dropbox etc)? Would it be possible to take a copy of your crash report? If you delete the "Details Arm" layer and save it, then reload the app to recreate it your file should be fine and work as normal. -

Zoom Tool via (Spacebar + Control) Issue/Bug
Lee_T replied to reefsar's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
apologies, this was meant to say "This is expected behaviour, control is a modifier key for the spacebar action, but spacebar is not a modifier key for control.". -

Lee_T replied to reefsar's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Hi Reesar, welcome to the forums! This is expected behaviour, control is a modifier key for the spacebar action, but control is not a modifier key for the spacebar action. Hope this makes sense, Lee -

Arrow heads turn when figure is zoomed out
Lee_T replied to Veence's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
Hi Veence, welcome to the forums. Would it possible if you can send the SVG file to us to take a look to see what's going on? https://www.dropbox.com/request/dear2yLaI0K4YNLZzz4P Lee -
Could you possibly give us a little more detail on the issue, is this happening with default brushes, third party or your own brushes? It's possible you are accidentally sampling the colour (long pressing)? This brings up a magnified section and then applies that new colour to your current tool. Lee

How do I avoid ghosting when focus stacking?
Lee_T replied to Eirik's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
Sorry, could have been clearer, what I mean is that if you are using Raw then that means we can rule out any in camera post processing differences causing ghosting in the stacked output, leaving little else to consider but lens breathing. I doubt that it's a hardware issue, just that every lens has a differing amount of focus breathing, the only way to find a lens with less breathing is to research i'm afraid. For this kind of work people would generally use a focus stacking rail like this: Lee
