  1. Hi GeirSol This is normal, you've essentially destroyed the style by removing one of it's key components. Lee
  2. Hi Robbief, welcome to the forums. It's likely to be a permissions issue in the folder you are saving to, could you try saving this in a different location you absolutely have write access privileges such as your desktop? If this fails, try creating or copying another file from your computer to that location to see if it allows you to save files there. Lee
  3. Hi Lockroe, welcome to the forums. We allow use of 3rd party photoshop plugins from within our software, so you just need to find one that works with out software. Obviously being third party we have no control over availability, quality or compatibility. Lee
  4. Hi Janon, as @PaulEC stated it's just the wrong tool for the job. The white balance tool is there to set the colour temperature using either white or a 50% grey to ensure the image is balanced for the lighting conditions. This is the same on any photo editing software that features a white balance tool. The adjustments made above by PaulEC are also the best way to do what you wish in any photo editing application. Lee
  5. Hi Kwrass, If you rasterise your image, this will reset it's local translation and will let you crop in the way you expect. Lee
  6. Hi Joshman87, What's the application you are opening the SVG's in? Lee
  7. Hi Pink Bunnies, welcome to the forum. An embedded document (such as the ones you are creating by dragging in images) are essentially our equivalent of smart objects, and can be transformed non destructively. Any Pixel layer can also be transformed non destructively by using the transform tool, negating the need to convert it into something non destructive. Lee
  8. On the SVG of your chair, you'll notice that these arms are constructed in a different way to your headrest. This is a shape with a stroke, the headrest is a filled shape with no outline, allgined with another unfilled shape with no outline (invisible). To me it just looks like the design process wasn't consistent, i can only see the SVG's though, not the original design document. Lee
  9. Ah I understand now, If you wish to replace something exactly there are a couple of things you could do, the first would be to use the replace image function on the context toolbar. Another way would be to change the placement policy to linked (File > Placement Policy) and then your image will update once it's overwritten, meaning any change you make will be reflected in your document automatically without re-importing. Lee
  10. Hi Starbase1, What software are you creating your images in? There are specific workflows and file formats that might help you simplify the process. For example, rendering as a Multilayer EXR file in 3D software can bring through all the elements of a 3D image such as ambient occlusion, mist, depth maps, normals, as separate layers all in one single file. With regard to replacing layers, whichever layer is at the top will be the one that is first visible, you can then alter layer settings such as the blend mode (how it interacts with the layers below it) and the opacity of the layer. Lee
  11. Absolutely, this is also normal on any software. You interrupt the process the after writing it successfully the first time. Arguably we should prevent you from being able to do that, however it's not really a major issue as if you complete your export process again, you once again have a new file. Lee
  12. Hi Ashf, If you place (not drag into a document) and ensure PDF pasthrough is enabled on the layer, this will display a rasterised version. Lee
  13. Hi Alex_M, This is normal behaviour, the file is immediately deleted and rewritten (represented by the progress bar). As you are interrupting the export process, you are seeing that the file is no longer recognised by the OS as a an image file due to it being only part completed. Lee
  14. Hi Javi Gil, welcome to the forums. Glad you sorted your issue, appreciate you posting how you resolved it, I'm sure it will help someone in the future. Lee
  15. The laptop itself has a 1366 X 768 display, so it's not great to be honest, but @chasm you said it was the same when looking on a 40 inch tv too? how are you watching them on the TV, using the computer or something else? Lee
  16. Hi HerrDerToene, Thanks for letting us know about this, not something I was personally aware of, interesting stuff. Lee
  17. Can you screenshot your installed fonts from the Affinity Photo prefences? Lee
  18. Hi Pookiepal, That's not happening here, are your App and OS updated to the latest versions, it might also be worth restarting (not force resetting) your iPad fully and seeing if the issue persists. Lee
  19. Hi Gregwald, welcome to the forums. In addition it might be worth watching this tutorial video on how to use the focus merging feature. Lee
  20. You may have an issue with scaling in your browser. If you can't resolve this, right clicking any image and saving it will allow you to look at the image as large as you like in your operating system. Lee
  21. Hi Steven, It's likely you were running the software from the install DMG, which after a restart will be ejected by the system. To properly install, open the installation DMG you downloaded, drag the Affinity software to the Applications folder on your mac, then drag from Applications folder to your bottom bar to create an accessible shortcut. Now if you open up finder, in the "devices" section, on the left side, you'll see the Installation virtual drive, which you can now eject. Lee
  22. @Alfred In all honesty, as the image doesn't change in scale in YouTube's player it doesn't make a difference, but higher resolutions selected do affect the quality of the compression in a positive way regardless of whether you can meet the resolution. The only thing other than what I've already suggested @chasmis perhaps screenshotting the video to zoom into it when you need to, or using the accessibility features of your operating system to zoom. For Mac OSX https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh40579/mac#:~:text=On your Mac%2C use the, click Accessibility %2C then click Zoom.&text=Use the listed shortcuts to zoom in or out. 23. Hi AffinityMakesMeSmile, It's possible to create a data merge to help with this task: https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/publisher/desktop/video/494072789/ Lee
