  1. So the original file saving issue is now resolved? Could you tell us a little about your system specs? (CPU/RAM/GPU/Drive type) You say the brush size issue happened once, has it happened since? Do you have GPU acceleration enabled? What are the file sizes you are working with, are they quite light or large multi-layered documents etc? Lee
  2. Hi Jayt, Have you tried placing the word documents directly into the Publisher document? Lee
  3. It may be worth trying https://www.reddit.com/r/identifythisfont/ I've found people there helpful in the past. Lee
  4. Hi Nashorn, What are the specs and OS of your machine? Do you have Metal Acceleration turned on in your preferences > Performance. Lee
  5. Hi mmmccckkk, I've been trying to recreate your issue myself, but have so far been unable which means it's something in your workflow/files specifically that's triggering this issue. Would it be possible for you to send the master document and at least some of the nested files so we can attempt to recreate it? If it's a very large document, a truncated version of your document that you can recreate the issue in would be ok too. https://www.dropbox.com/request/VlGm6U1k1pnCJ1GCwHX3 Lee
  6. Hi Benfischer, Thanks for reporting, but as it's a beta operating system it's unsupported. Once released the issue may have been resolved with changes within the OS. Lee
  7. ah yes sorry my mistake, I see, this is a previously reported bug and should hopefully be resolved soon, the curves opacity is not supported in PDF but it should be rasterising. You can manually rasterise beforehand as a workaround. Lee
  8. Hi FredSing, welcome to the forums. I'd like to ask a few questions just to try and narrow down the issue If you have any of the other Affinity apps, is it affecting those? Do you have any symptoms like this outside of Affinity Software? Are you saving to a network drive or external drive? Have you tried disabling Metal hardware acceleration (Preferences > Performance) Have you tried running your OS Disk utility to see if there are any Drive errors (sometimes the drives catalogue file can become corrupted and may need to be rebuilt, can occur when software forces an unexpected shutdown). Lee
  9. What method are you using to create this stroke? If I edit the stroke gradient, it's not showing as a gradient and only as a fill, once I edit it and create my own gradient it resolves the issue. Is it pasted from designer? Lee
  10. Hi Zebulon, Can i ask which PDF export preset you are using? I'm not able to reproduce the same issue myself with the "PDF for print" preset in either Designer or Publisher. Lee
  11. Hi Brian_J, Still looking into this, it's quite tricky without being to replicate in any way over a wide array of hardware. Out of interest do you have any desktop/window management/dual monitor software/wallpaper manager etc software installed? Lee
  12. Thanks, that should be fine, here's a fresh link: https://www.dropbox.com/request/VImk7x5pFVRk3udfh43X Lee
  13. Does the same thing occur with Hardware Acceleration disabled? Edit > Preferences > Performance > Which video card does your computer to have and is the driver up to date? Lee
  14. As you say, not fully supported as yet, but it may be worth contributing to this thread to keep it all together as it seems related. Lee
  15. Hi Ultrainfra, Would it be possible for you to upload the Affinity Photo Document and your exported TIFF to this location so I can investigate further. https://www.dropbox.com/request/03kjBUQeQqPZ6wjgy6ux Lee
  16. Ahh, try using Filter > Noise > Perlin Noise. to generate clouds. Essentially this is a noise generator that looks like clouds, except unlike Photoshop, you have various controls over the noise. See if you have the same issue following that step. Lee
  17. Hi Cartoonjosh, I'm afraid this isn't a feature at the moment, though we appreciate the feedback. Lee
  18. I get the distortion with your file, however i don't when creating a new document and follow the same process on iPad and desktop. Could you try this again from scratch to see if it re-occurs? Lee
  19. Hi, apologies for the delay, but yes, this is on my list. I'm unable to replicate on the NASA image file you provided. The link I gave you isn't public, it's for internal testing purposes only and no accessible by anyone else and would really assist in troubleshooting. Lee
  20. The file size of a vector image are not the same as file sizes for images, as they essentially contain mathematical data to recreate those curves, 42.3mb is a huge vector document and will contain enough information to make your computer think very very hard. To give you an idea just how large that SVG is, this document below is .52 mb Lee
  21. Hi Affinity iPad Student, For this, you need to make both edges of the gradient transparent,, and create a central node on the gradient line and colour it grey, you can add further nodes in the centre to smooth the gradient if it appears too sharp. Lee
  22. Hi Tom, Could you please upload the file here if the suggestion by @thomaso doesn't resolve your issue. https://www.dropbox.com/request/GpVPVitwvcdnV4jw8FtV We cannot guarantee a resolution is possible or any timescale for a recovery but we will do our best to try and recover it for you. Lee
  23. Would it be possible to record the behaviour off screen so we can try and replicate the issue? Lee
