  1. It just hit me that TIFF has a maximum file size of 4gb, this is almost certainly the cause of the issue. (we use LibTIFF at the moment which doesn't support bigTIFF). I would advise exporting back any edits back to EXR. Lee
  2. I would say after a little bit of testing, it's enough for me to say that to export such a high 1 Billion pixel image whilst retaining colour information those time frames are normal, (I'm assuming you are using it for HDRI purposes?). If you have software that can handle that in such a small timeframe, then I would consider using that tool. Lee
  3. @edloI see you are exporting as TIFF, but what settings are you exporting with, so i can recreate your issue accurately. Lee
  4. You already have. When you say "your system became unstable". Do you mean your entire system or just Affinity Designer? Lee
  5. Thanks for the reminder, i've got it downloading at the moment and will get back to you as soon as possible. Lee
  6. Our developers are aware of the issue and are working on a fix, though i have no timescale I can give you I'm afraid. Lee
  7. Hi WillowOne, Could you try and disable Hardware Acceleration in Edit > Preferences > Performance and see if that improves matters? Lee
  8. Hi nikgervae, The help file is a reference tool, this makes it far more structured than a flat document, and as such searching is or drilling down through categories is the most efficient way to find the information you are looking for. It is not designed as a document to be read from start to finish. We update the help file regularly, and to keep a "flat" document up to date makes no sense. We do however produce learning content in the form of videos, which is far more suitable for beginners to the software. https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/learn/ Lee
  9. Hi Veles, Something like the following settings should allow you to achieve your aim. Note the blue bar on the rotation setting, you can see range of rotation for which the randomness of rotation occurs. If you turn reduce the jitter value, you can preview the rotation for setting your range. Lee. Result:
  10. Thanks for these files, but to recreate your issue we would need to reproduce your whole workflow. Without the merge files I'm not noticing any unusual behaviour. If you could upload these that would help us to properly attempt to reproduce the issue. Lee
  11. Hi Crownfield, welcome to the forums, Affinity Publisher support IDML files only, so you would need to have the files saved in this format. Lee
  12. Hi Blake, Could you send us a copy of the document as a package? File > Save As Package.... https://www.dropbox.com/request/E6X8yI4kpasPVxcZcflX Lee
  13. The report shows that an embedded document caused the app to crash, it may be worth examining those documents or importing them a different way perhaps. Are there any nested (i.e. embedded documents in embedded documents) or documents stored in cloud locations? Lee
  14. I've sent you a direct message with the file attached, it was partially recovered. Lee
  15. Interesting, I was able to recreate and not recover the FX through the history. They were still enabled but back at default settings. It's not been tested on all platforms yet though so may be a windows specific issue.
  16. Hi Amenah, welcome to the forums, Affinity software will attempt to recover when you next launch the program. There's no guarantees though and there's no substitute for regular saving/backups. Lee
  17. Hi TwoKoalas, Thanks for reporting this, i've passed it on to our development team. Lee
  18. Hi JamieT, Could you provide some more information, i.e. your system specifications and operating system. Lee
  19. Hi Sahil Raj V, welcome to the forum. Some driver/hardware combinations of intel video hardware can cause issues with OpenCL GPU acceleration, I would advise attempting to update your Intel video driver, and if this doesn't resolve the issue, turn off GPU acceleration by going to edit > preferences > performance. Lee
  20. Hi Chris26, Thanks for the report, would you be able to send us your crash logs to this dropbox following the instructions below? https://www.dropbox.com/request/VsZdASVX03uXHlOFjLN1 Lee
  21. Hi minol, welcome to the forums. We can try and take a look, but we can't offer any guarantee any timescale or success. We advise that you save to your local drive rather than a cloud location as this can cause issues with file integrity. https://www.dropbox.com/request/WH5UM0WFlMWu1h0aaGXs Lee
  22. Hi, rock_the_mullet, welcome to the forums. You can allign using the allignment tool to create a grid (space horizontally/vertically), and then using the isometric studio panel, use the "fit to plane" option shown below. Lee
  23. If you get strange behaviour again, could you try toggling Hardware acceleration to off, I'm not convinced it's part of the problem, but may be worth checking. Also, possibly worth resetting your settings for the app (ctrl when booting the app, hit clear) Lee
  24. Hi NK_01, I'm afraid this is not possible, I would suggest that you do take a screenshot, but then use that as a guide to draw vectors over it to match. Lee
  25. Hi Will, welcome to the forums! It looks like you are trying to save in the root of the users directory, could you try exporting the files into a user accessible folder such as your desktop/pictures folder? Lee
