The OS compatabilty updates are good news, thanks for the info.

I had a look at the trial version of the new release v2. and was surprised and a little annoyed that after saving in 2. I was unable to open the file again in v1. despite not having edited anything and certainly not using any of the new features. I think is bad, I can open all sorts of PSD files in Photo so I would expect at least some fall back option, not being left with delete or upgrade to the new version. I was clever enough to test on an old file so nothing important was lost, and I may still upgrade in the future, but not now. I didn't see a warning about this and it maybe I missed it, if not it needs to be there. All the best, I love Affinity tools but this is not good.

I think this is a great idea and would certainly push Photo over the line ahead of Photoshop. I think we are going to see a lot more use of Cryptomattes and having an image editor like Affinity Photo with support built in would be a big plus for Serif.

Love the app and I have one request: When working with different formats like SVG it would be nice to have a save option that saves in the format the file was opened in not just the native file format. This is really important when woking with other software that auto loads the modified file. Most other software handle this well so I am sure you could do it too, well here's hopping. Failing that a default Export file format would be the next best option.
