I've previously created some files using Adobe Creative Express. I've exported as pdf and I was hoping that the majority of the text would be editable with Affinity Publisher (mac desktop). However the majority seems to be showing as curve elements instead so I cannot modify.
I was hoping to make use of Publisher to take these templates and use data merge to update the text elements from a spreadsheet.
I have the fonts installed, Publisher does not complain about any missing fonts when opening the pdf.
Any hits or tips for making getting the text within the pdf to be recognised as such, I've attached an example in which I think all the text on the page just imports as curves.
Thanks

Publisher imports most text as curves

Thanks for the responses, I do have other pdf's i've created in adobe creative cloud express where more the of the text is picked up as a text element when importing to publisher. It is a bit hit and miss, but sounds like this could be font dependent, or an inconsistency in adobe creative cloud rather than publisher.
