  1. Thanks Chris, that did the trick and start up is superfast now. Previously the start up time was long even if the app had been previously opened since starting up the iMac. Mac
  2. Thanks for picking this up Chris, No, it has been happening with all the Betas and RCs. 1.4 is fine though.
  3. I watched your video and tried to replicate what you were doing. So far I can't get it to misbehave. I noticed you seem to have the Move tool selected rather than a selection tool however, even copying that, the Invert Selection still worked for me. Do you have multiple images on a single canvass, If so, I think that Invert Selection would be faced with a logic problem i.e. select whole canvas or man.
  4. Did a search and could not find an answer to this, so my apologies if it has been covered before. On my system AF 1.4 launches in less than five seconds whilst all the 1.5 betas and both RCs take 25 seconds. OS 10.12.1 Late 2015 5k iMac. Will this behaviour be improved in the production release?
  5. Another also, if you have duplicated a pixel layer do your in-painting on the duplicate (i.e. upper layer) not the original.
  6. I don't always want to export to the original folder so, I'm happy with the choice of destination available in the current release.
  7. I'm running Sierra and do not have this problem; both 1.4 and 1.5 RC1 work fine.
  8. The pixel dimensions would indicate that the shot was taken in a 16:9 aspect ratio which would crop the top and bottom of the sensors hence 12Mp.
  9. Well those pixel dimensions match the 12Mp image size so, I'm not sure what your problem is either. Are you suggesting that the file size was not 12Mp? or did you think the pixel dimensions referred to screen resolution (which they don't)?
  10. Personally, I would rather not have a DAM as part of Affinity Photo. My workflow to Affinity Photo is from Capture One Pro where all my RAWs are stored together with the Tiffs returned from Affinity Photo. I'm sure that this is the same process for many Lightroom users. A separate DAM product would be the way to go.
  11. Most of the Topaz plugins already work fine with Affinity Photo (AP) if they are set up correctly in the AP Preferences, plugin tab. For BW Effects I have the following entries:- Plugin Search Folder> "Library/Application Support/Topaz labs/BW Effects 2/Plugins" Plugin Support Folder> " /" Don't enter the quotation marks! Don't forget to tick the "Work with unknown plugins" box This approach will work for most of the Topaz plugins apart from Glow, Texture Effects, Impression, and the new DeNoise 6 and Remask 5 (earlier versions do work). I haven't spent much time trying to sort them out as they work stand alone anyway.
  12. Using Digigravure's suggestion for the 'Photoshop Plugins' tab dialogue in Preferences (8th August post), I have all of my Topaz plugins working apart from Re-mask 4. On launching Re-mask from Affinity Photo a warning message appears to say that the "transparency" needs to be unlocked. This happens whether the layer is locked or not. My system is a rMBP running Mavericks.
