  1. Hi, I've been happily working on my little document using Affinity Publisher on my laptop, at various cafes and such away from home. Of course, whenever I need help with the software I google for the answer and I usually find what I need. But without internet, what do I do? I turn to the built-in help documentation. But I've realized that the built-in documentation search function doesn't work when offline! You just can't click the search bar. The search field is then enabled and clickable when you connect back to the internet. Which is odd, since all the documentation seems to be on my computer anyway. Upon further investigation, It looks like it's actually a macOS bug / "feature" that the built-in help viewer doesn't work without internet... which is ridiculous since if I had internet, I would just search online for the solution. Is there a better way to view the built-in documentation files and use a search function? Repro Steps: 1. Disconnect from the internet (disable wifi, unplug ethernet, etc) 2. Open Affinity Publisher Help menu on macOS. 3. Try clicking the search bar. Search bar is unclickable.
  2. Hi Callum, thanks for the quick reply! On my macbook display I am using the "More Space" scaling setting. On my studio display I am using the "Default" scaling setting. I also had the document open on my macbook first, and then connected the Studio Display. However, even restarting Affinity Publisher can't get "Actual Size" to work correctly. I am using Extended Displays. I've also tried clamshell mode, but still the scaling is incorrect I've tried all the different scaling settings on the studio display, however unfortunately none of them display my 8.5x11 document properly.
  3. Hi, i've been enjoying affinity publisher. However the zoom level "Actual Size" does not work correctly when using an external display such as Studio Display, LG 5K, or Pro Display XDR. I have a document set at 8.5" x 11", a standard letter size. I select Zoom -> Actual Size (cmd-8) and I assume it should show my document at actual size 8.5" x 11" --but it shows the document much too big on my Studio Display. I assume it's the same problem on any other external retina display. I am using: MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max Studio Display 27" Affinity Publisher 1.10.5 macOS 12.3.1 Repro steps: 1. Create a document using a built-in size template such as 8.5x11. 2. On the internal MacBook screen, press cmd-8. Compare the size to real-life size. 3. Move Affinity Publisher to the external display, such as Studio Display. Press cmd-8. Compare the size to real-size. 4. Change scaling settings of external display. Observe that Affinity Publisher does not update to match real-size to fit.
